That's not what I asked. Enjoying it, liking it I get. There are aspects to the pacing of the show I've much preferred in recent months.

But what exactly has been impressive?

Doing something the show did 20 years ago is hardly impressive.

But can I just point out every time a new producer starts there's a few on DS who after their first few episodes says it feels like old EE again. They even did it with Bryan Kirkwood.

Then the next producer arrives and NOW it's old school eastenders. Lmao

But if you watched the early episodes it is similar to this

Again, how is that impressive?

The show needs to keep moving forward with the times.

It seems to take two steps forward and ten back.

Making everything a big stunt or surprise returns every week is not the way forward

And plus Shirley stopping Denise from going into the left cubical but not the right one made it quite obvious that there was someone in the right one (that and the right cubical being closed). :idc:

SOC was the one who brought back a big character from the 80s with a new head don't forget.

That's my point the show needed to move forward with the new generations not keep moving backwards.

He's replaced R&R with an old character. No new ones with any potential. That's not moving the show forward.

It was a bit random though considering they've shared little scenes together for years. Also, we never once saw Shirley confide in Denise as far as I remember so I didn't understand that bit.

To be honest the entire Buster suggestion was laughable and a bit of a reach to be honest.

And literally the only stunt he did was the car crash in Jan 2015 and the fire in September 2014. Hardly every week.

He brought Stacey and Jane back. Not a character long forgotten with a new actress.

Yeah. Whilst they did become friends following Kevin's death they weren't ever THAT close.

In general, EE has never had all that many stunts. Certainly not as many as the others.

Also his inability to tell one story in full without taking a few months break from it
