I keep expecting Cheryl's exit to be announced.

All through the Brendan/Walker stuff, the Lynsey stuff, the bus crash stuff.

Because she comes across as someone who wants to spread her wings and she's already getting work on other things while doing Hollyoaks.

bbfan1991 01-12-2012 11:52 PM

Sadly most of Cheryl's storylines seem to revolve around Brendan atm, although Bryan Kirkwood did say that he had plans to give Cheryl her own storyline in the Inside Soap interview he did and said he liked her character/Bronagh:).

Marsh. 01-12-2012 11:53 PM

Wasn't Kirkwood the one to introduce her character in Later back in 2008?

And then she was brought back by another producer afterwards?

I remember the awful moped racing storyline LA did:joker:.

Marsh. 01-12-2012 11:58 PM

I don't remember that.

I want to know what's gonna happen with Rob and Annalise. Rob is a bit hit and miss as a character but the actor is good. And Annalise is just gorgeous. Barney is getting a bit of a SL but there's just no student stuff. That whole group has been broken up

DrunkerThanMoses 02-12-2012 07:19 AM

Not sure Joe they dont seem to feature any of the students hanging out anymore :(

InOne 02-12-2012 10:10 AM

It happened when stupid ES let the teens dominate for months on end.

I think BK will rebuild them eventually, he talked about the show focusing on students but wanted to focus on both the younger and older characters as equals.

BK had a strong student group in his first reign of charge and I think he will want to try and match that success.

I know it is not all Brendan fans but the attitude of some of them that OMG the show will be awful once he has gone and should end really makes me cringe.

Hollyoaks has seen numerous characters and actors come and go, as they say the show must go on!

Emmett is quoted in the Irish press of wanting to make it in LA because he has some contacts over there so he is again already hinting at the departure rumours that have been going around for a while anyway;).

'Hollyoaks' James Sutton: 'John Paul, Craig had tough time'

Hollyoaks returnee James Sutton has revealed details of his character John Paul McQueen's split from lover Craig Dean.

As recently confirmed by show boss Bryan Kirkwood, John Paul will be a single man when he heads back to the village later this month.

Sutton told Inside Soap: "John Paul and Craig have had a tough time in Ireland together. Craig has put JP in a difficult situation, and that's part of the reason he goes back to the village."

He added: "I love the fact that fans still want them to be together. But the only person who knows the answer to whether we'll see Craig again is Guy Burnet, who played him.

"He's in the States filming a TV show at the moment, but I'd love to work with him again one day."

Sutton played Ryan Lamb in Emmerdale for two years and said that he was "a bit sad" not to have been involved in the recent live show.

However, he insisted that he is glad to be a part of the Hollyoaks cast again.

He hinted: "John Paul has some exciting storylines in store - and they're not what you might expect."

The actor recently expressed excitement over upcoming scenes with bad boy Brendan Brady.

Hollyoaks star Claire Cooper has promised that the long-awaited showdown between her character Jacqui McQueen and love cheat Cindy Cunningham will be "worth waiting for".

Cindy (Stephanie Waring) had an affair with Jacqui's husband Rhys Ashworth before his tragic death last month, but viewers will have to wait until Christmas to see her face the music.

Jacqui is already aware that Rhys was cheating on her before his passing, and next week's episodes see her once again suspect that Cindy was the woman in question as they team up to arrange the funeral.

Cooper told All About Soap: "When she's at the florist picking flowers for the funeral, Cindy goes into this weird speech about the significance of a single red rose and why it's so important.

"And then at the grave, Jacqui's pouring her heart out to Rhys when she comes across a single red rose. It suddenly dawns on her who Rhys's other woman was."

However, Cindy soon finds herself off the hook for now when a surprising development - which is currently being kept under wraps - makes Jacqui question her suspicions again.

Cooper continued: "There's a lot of screaming and shouting, but just as Cindy's about to respond, something distracts Jacqui and changes things completely. Cindy won't get away with it, but the resolution won't happen until Christmas. I promise it's going to be worth waiting for."

Of this year's festive episodes, the actress teased: "Christmas is going to be great. Jacqui will discover Cindy's affair with Rhys for real and all hell will break loose. I'm also excited we've got John Paul and Nana McQueen back. It will be nice to have some good McQueen laughs after everything Jacqui's been through!"

I agree, hope the show can keep it up.

Part of me wonders if there will be an HO Later this year? I suspect there might not be if Bryan Kirkwood wants to focus on really sorting out the main show, although I do hope there will be as it is exciting to watch:).

MeMyselfAndI 03-12-2012 01:11 PM

I want Bart to leave soon, John Paul is the man of the mcqueens
