Not barricading exactly... but if we were to be snowed in it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Got lots of wood for the burner and a freezer full of food. Shouldn't have to venture out until about February if LT can sort that...

No, we still haven't. We'll probably book something really quickly and just go and do it. With my nieces of course. They'd kill me dead if they weren't involved.

Watch out Midlands!

Amber warning now issued for Sunday. Worth taking note:

Between 04:00 Sun 10th and 18:00 Sun 10th

A spell of heavy snow is likely over parts of Wales, the Midlands and parts of Northern England on Sunday. Road, rail and air travel delays are likely, as well as stranding of vehicles and public transport cancellations. There is a good chance that some rural communities could become cut off.

Chief Forecaster's assessment

A band of rain, heavy at times, is expected to move eastwards over the UK. With cold air in place, a spell of heavy snow looks likely to develop on its northern edge. 10 cm looks likely quite widely within the warning area, with 15-20 cm in places. There is increasing certainty in the track and location of the heaviest snow.

As long as my daughter can drive home safely in a fortnights time it can snow all it likes, Xmas shopping finished, food just about sorted, parcels nearly all arrived after today.
Ohhh and clear roads into Thirsk on the 23rd to pick up our butchers order.

So it can snow for a fortnight, clear overnight then come back xmas eve..can you arrange that for me LT:joker:

I thought about you over the weekend when I saw where it was snowing hardest! Hope you've thawed out a bit.

He's very good for sticking to his own work routine, I couldn't do it myself but he's really good for self motivation
