It's a loose once, the stories are connected, but each part is its own story.

Marsh. 21-05-2017 09:58 PM

Oh. Like some of the two parters in series 9 then?

Scarlett. 21-05-2017 10:14 PM

Aye, I think they work better than full on multiple part episodes sometimes.

Rob! 21-05-2017 11:11 PM

In fairness I thought the monks were quite creepy and unsettling and the voices were brilliant. But it's a waste if their motives and reasoning aren't made clear

That was a much better episode, I thought, even with the ending that was just a tad loves-saves-but-also-doesn't-save-the-world (tbf, the rest of the series could just be multiple games of "let's see who interrupts Bill's date this week!" and I'd be content)

Next week looks rather interesting too

Rob! 27-05-2017 09:58 PM

Loved that. So clever how they made a simple broken pair of glasses lead to that.

Scarlett. 27-05-2017 10:30 PM

Another good episode, I loved the twist on love saves the world, where it in fact dooms the world, lol

So rumours are true and Kris Marshall will become the Doctor this series?

Marsh. 28-05-2017 06:16 PM

Not really.

Tom4784 28-05-2017 06:22 PM

Better than last week's, I liked the reversal of the whole 'love overcomes all' trope and the build up to what led to the enzyme's creation and the idea of the Doctor inadvertently causing the surrender was a pretty good twist.

I was getting the hints that the doctor will be dying this series from the episode tbh

Marsh. 28-05-2017 06:57 PM

Yeah but I'm still not convinced it's Kris Marshall.

Denver 28-05-2017 07:14 PM

But it fits with the leaked story

Scarlett. 29-05-2017 01:45 AM

A scene was edited out of the episode

Sticks 29-05-2017 05:47 AM

BBC being squeamish again

Saph 29-05-2017 09:46 AM

mess imagine if that line was on last weeks ep instead :umm2:

Ronald. 29-05-2017 10:56 AM

Loving this at the moment. Great episode on Saturday! R.

Some great Love Island banter tonight

Glenn. 03-06-2017 07:27 PM

That was a good episode. Bit of a cop out ending though considering the scale of the story.

Ashley. 03-06-2017 08:46 PM

So 1984 with a reverse button, then?

Marsh. 03-06-2017 09:49 PM

A poor attempt at a 2008 Fake Regeneration.

But, my god, the hype and press attention around that one was insane.

Marsh. 03-06-2017 09:52 PM

Did they really replace Jesus the Redeemer with a monk? :laugh2:

Scarlett. 03-06-2017 10:11 PM

A decent episode, even if the end did kinda use the reset button a little.

Glenn. 03-06-2017 10:13 PM

I screeched at monk Mona Lisa

Rob! 03-06-2017 10:42 PM

I actually really enjoyed that. My expectations were low as I'd read reviews that it was all leading to a bit of anticlimax but I thought the idea of Bill using her imagination with her mum so that they couldn't alter it because it wasn't a memory was quite clever.
