I really enjoyed the remake of The Ring. the sequel was horrific, but the first one was actually really good I thought.

Kill Bill (Vol 2)

Have you seen Funny People Niamh? It's pretty patchy but I thought he was terrific in it.

The Haunting. Was okay but a tad boring for my liking.

Shaun 18-05-2010 08:35 AM

The Baader-Meinhof Complex.

It's an interesting film. I'm often complaining about society but never to the levels of those such as the RAF [Red Army Faction, not our RAF ;)] and whilst it's always glamourised to be part of a revolutionary faction it's always overlooking the violence, the chaos, the disregard for society, that such thinking entails.

I'm also a big fan of Martina Gedeck. She was fantastic in "Das Leben der Anderen" and excels again here. Also didn't recognise Moritz Bliebtreu.

40 year old virgin, hilarious!

Lets Scare Jessica To Death - A Creepy horror thriller that had its moments. SOme how turned from a parnormal film into a zombie film? Good but predictable and sometimes a yawn feast.

Cherry Falls - A Intresting take on the slasher film. Was predictable but good. The acting for a slasher was strangely good and it was a cut better then other slasher films.

DrunkerThanMoses 18-05-2010 01:17 PM

Terror at the Opera. Was friday the 13th mets phantom of the opera. Really good, but predicatable who the killer was. The ending was funny know. Was like a scene from sound of music, but being chased by a manic killer lol

Ooo I like Cherry Falls. Britney Murphy stars in that and the killer goes round killing the people who are still virgins! lol

IheartBB 18-05-2010 01:29 PM

Hot Tub Time Machine.

Fecking brilliant!

BB_Eye 18-05-2010 01:33 PM

Went to see a matinée showing of A Nightmare on Elm Street yesterday... my friend and I were the only people in the cinema, lol.

So yeah... big surprise, the movie was piss poor, but then what do you expect from Platinum Dunes i.e. the lousy horror remake factory?

Err... how would I spin this into a backhanded recommendation? It's big, super loud and edited like a music video/reality TV show. So if you have severe ADD and that's your sort of thing or if you liked the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake more than the original (in which case I can only assume you're an idiot), go and watch this movie.

Beastie 18-05-2010 10:48 PM

Robin Hood. It was okay.. lol

setanta 19-05-2010 12:23 AM

Notorious. Hitchcock, Grant, Bergman and Rains. Don't have to say anymore, do I?

Yes it was a good slasher film, better then most. However I knew who the killer was from the start.

Niamh. 19-05-2010 09:22 AM

Shaun 19-05-2010 09:27 AM
