X Factor’s Cher Lloyd is teaming up with US star Snoop Dogg in an attempt to break the US market.

The teenager, who finished fourth on the show in 2010, will be releasing a new version of track Want U Back featuring the rapper.

The single was released here last year, and featured lyrics from X Factor USA finalist Astro.

Now her team are gearing up to take on the US charts, following the success of One Direction there.

“America is a *priority for me and it feels like it’s a fresh start. I’m taking it seriously. I’ll be out there for three weeks in May to get the ball rolling,” Cher revealed.

The singer started gigging in America last month, but had to return to the UK for her first ever tour.

Despite not being in the country, Cher is already receiving acclaim from the States.

“It’s an amazing initial reaction to Cher. She’s overwhelmed,” a source told the Sunday Mirror today. “The plan is to go out there for three or so weeks and introduce herself to America.

Still she's in the us now performing at a few small gigs and promoting WUB. Apparently the radio adds for it so far have been quite good to say she's not known over there so hopefully it'll manage to chart. It's released on itunes 22nd May.

Snoop Dogg won't help it chart, he jumps on any track he is offered these days

Maybe they were just jumping the gun and he might record a new song with her instead?

I hope she manages to do well in the US, although she cannot afford to forget about her UK fanbase so will need to try and keep both sets of fans happy:).

Don't know how the charts and that work over there but it looks like she's doing a good job promoting herself.

Before it was released on iTunes. Her official page on Facebook were giving out free downloads.

She's signed with Epic Records (The label the USXF winner signs with if they win) btw.
She went to the famous SXSF Festival and did an interview or two. I can't remember the question but she was asked about 1D since they were on the same season

Yeah she and One Direction are still friends I think! It is weird how they both finished 3rd and 4th that year over here and are doing better than what the winner did overall!
