Just like with the general election last year ,some, thankfully only a few, people are far from magnanimous when they are on the winning side.

I dare bet had this been 52% to 48% the other way, from some on the 'leave' side, we would probably be hearing it was a fix,it was rigged or that it was so close we would need another vote sooner rather than later, and that it shouldn't count.

It is - as I posted on the page before - the rights come from the Equality Act 2010 - plus many EU countries have far fewer LGBT rights

I also find it annoying that people have been belittling Scotland for wanting another referendum, Scotland voted almost unanimously to remain, part of the reason they stayed in the UK was fear mongering over them being pushed out of the EU when going it alone. England and Wales have ****ed Scotland and Northern Ireland over, if they want to leave, good on them, Scotland voted to remain, so they should get to remain.

Farage already alluded to it

But now he's won I'm sure the wonderfully modest and HONEST man would not be calling for one now.

Read through this and other threads LM - impartially - and then trawl through social media, then you will understand that the difference between understandable 'anger' and the barbed attacks and snide comments to which I am referring to.

I KNOW that I am one of the most genuinely friendly and civil members on here, despite my passion, and I NEVER attack anyone first, but I will not shirk from stating the facts as I perceive them, very clearly.

Finally LM, I did say 'some' members of 'Remain' - not ALL, and certainly, I did not have you in mind.

No it is a great victory now to the 'leave' side you see, whereas had it been the other way, this would have been seen as 'remain' 'just' edging it, as he said last night too.

The question of a second referendum was raised by Mr Farage in an interview with the Mirror in which he said: "In a 52-48 referendum this would be unfinished business by a long way. If the Remain campaign win two-thirds to one-third that ends it."
He definitely won't be now it's swung his way!

But I don't get why that would have affected the UK's LGBT policies if they stayed in, how come the UK has better LGBT rights now than these other EU countries don't? What will leaving do to improve it?

And isn't Europe supposed to have some of the best countries when it comes to LGBT rights? (Malta is supposedly the best country in the world for it)
