No but seriously I've wanted the original Cybermen back for ages so I want to hear nothing but glowing reviews.

Marsh. 24-06-2017 06:11 PM

Why is Bill being silly and not putting her glow in the dark IV behind the curtain?

MB. 24-06-2017 06:11 PM

"Very fast bottom"

me when I go running

Marsh. 24-06-2017 06:12 PM

I'm the Russian with the tea

Marsh. 24-06-2017 06:12 PM

OMG is that John Simm in prosthetics???

Marsh. 24-06-2017 06:13 PM

It is. :joker:

That entire episode was ruined by one of Bill's chips falling onto the table whilst she was scraping them into a bowl

:joker: I expected her to pick it up but she didn't.

TERRIBLE DIRECTION.

Saph 24-06-2017 06:16 PM

whos the fat bitch

Marsh. 24-06-2017 06:16 PM

Ok, his accent is slipping and it's clearly John Simm. Derek Jacobi shock from Utopia this is NOT.

Marsh. 24-06-2017 06:17 PM

OMG LOSTIE!!!!!!!!

MB. 24-06-2017 06:31 PM

Well I thought that was fantastic

6:30 next week though

Rob! 24-06-2017 06:34 PM

That would have been ten times better if John Simm hadn't previously been revealed.
Really good though. Say what you want about Moffat but you can't fault his imagination. The whole "Pain, Kill me" thing omg :worry:

Next week looks epic as **** though.

MB. 24-06-2017 06:36 PM

Yeah, you can tell they wanted to keep John Simm a secret for a bit longer than they did (thanks for nothing Dan Wootton), but it was a pretty bloody cool reveal nonetheless

Glenn. 24-06-2017 06:40 PM

I called the reveal as soon as we see more of the little weirdo. Would have been so epic if they hadn't have revealed it months ago. Same with the Cybermen. It literally ruined a potentially amazing episode.

I hope Chibnall doesn't pull this crap.

Ashley. 24-06-2017 07:04 PM

I thought this episode was quite similar to The Girl Who Waited

Marsh. 24-06-2017 07:05 PM

Dan Wootton is responsible?

UGH, BURN HIM!

Rob! 24-06-2017 07:09 PM

I got to say though, I'm glad the last thing Moffat has done (so far) is finally give the Cybermen a bit of direction in terms of their place in the show. If you think about it, they have the potential to be the scariest monsters in the show. Sure the Weeping Angels make you jump and the Daleks are ruthless killing machines but the Cybermen have got such a tragic and terrifying concept. They take humans and trap them, in pain, in steel to make you like them. They had lost that edge for me and it's good to see them back to quite a gritty plot.

I recall they did a similar sort of story for the Daleks so it's nice to see Moffat do the same for the Cybermen, and explore their history. It's fresh. And I'd say the same for a lot of Moffat's older episodes in terms of exploring new concepts.

Yeah, I think that was the "in-joke" when Simm's master mentioned "You could say... a genesis".

Marsh. 24-06-2017 07:18 PM

When Simm put the eye mask on. :joker:

Marsh. 25-06-2017 01:55 AM

Here for Lady Doctor next week. :clap1:

Ashley. 25-06-2017 11:32 AM

Bill's love for her mother to reverse the conversion?

Oliver_W 25-06-2017 12:39 PM

Awesome episode, one of Moffat's best <3 I hope Bill doesn't have a copout, and stays Cybered.I love Bill as a character but she's obviously leaving one way or the other, and all the Moffatty copouts are a bit exasperating.
