Trouble is now .. whilst Villa had a good season.. they have a good 12 or 13 players then the drop off is frightening

So it’s a wasted Champions League place basically

I just want to say that I personally think that Tottenham join Leicester in the disgraceful teams category of the Season.

I wouldn't say anything if there was a genuine attempt to win the game, but both teams just basically didn't even try.

And as one is involving the title race, it ruins the integrity of the Sport.

And look, I'm not saying that Man City wouldn't have won even if Tottenham weren't shooting straight at the goalkeeper every chance that they had (because unlike the Leicester vs Blackburn situation, Man City are better than Tottenham anyway) but I like to see how a competition will genuinely play out, not borderline cheating.

Or in F1's case when Verstappen won his first Championship, let's change the rules at the last minute so that he "wins" against Hamilton.:umm2:

They didn't immobilise De Bruyne?:hehe:

West Ham have no chance.

The most boring Premier League season bar none.

Hopefully it'll be more competitive next season, and hopefully Football actually comes down on teams who don't try to win games near the end of the season, just to relegate teams or harm teams title chances, it's borderline fraudulent towards the fans that attend the games.

I hope that Chelsea don't pick that sick **** to be apart of their team.

Chelsea normally have a bit more standards than that.

Here is a thought for you ......

If Arsenal win the PL on Sunday, and United win the FA Cup, City will have won nothing, and united will have had a better season than City

It could actually happen !!

I can’t erase that moment when Son was through on goal and fluffed his lines ..

That would have made Arsenal big favourites to win the league and give Spurs a top 4 chance .. in a season where ManC , Chelsea, ManU all underperformed massively

They will all be stronger next season

Spurs and Liverpool have under performed massively. I know you don't like City, but top of the league going into the last day, and in the FA Cup final. That's not under performing Zizu. Chelsea should finish 6th, for them in such a inconsistent season, that's not bad actually either.

It has been a crazy season with one thing and another ..

ManC are a shadow of last season’s team… is my point .. they have been winning recently despite not playing well at all and they scraped by quite a few wins .. against Chelsea for one .

ManC will be stronger next season and back to their best

You just admitted that Chelsea were inconsistent .. nobody saw them losing 11 games ( so far ..) Same applies to ManU losing 14 games

Either way it will be far harder for Arsenal to win the league next season plus more difficult for Spurs to get top 4

I dunno, i think City look cynical at times, they get the job done. I genuinely don't care if City or Arsenal win the league.

Chelsea have been on/off for 5 years or more now. They need lots of work, but it's crazy to think that they actually have a chance to finish above Spurs going into the last day (very slim chance, granted). We were something like 12th a few months ago, and people were still talking about Spurs winning the league.

bots 16-05-2024 06:41 PM

i think man city play a type of football that just wears the opposition down. Eventually, someone will lose concentration and then it's a goal. They wind up the speed until they get the desired result and then slow it back down again. That's the whole point of their game.

Agreed and it’s clearly effective

K cannot stand to watch them .. it’s basic painting by numbers … boring , repetitive patterns with sole intention of getting the ball to KSB / Foden so they can work their magic

In other news ..

Declan Rice’s mates at West Ham have apparently promised to die trying to get a good result at ManC on Sunday !!

This adds a new level of intrigue given it is also David Moyse’s last game and they will be extra determined to let him go out on a high !!

I’m quietly confident about Arsenal getting the league now !!

don't forget that Arteta played for Moyes at everton, and that he was very much a mentor to him. However, it will all be down to how arsenal and city cope with the pressure on the final day. It's perfectly possible that both teams will lose

My biggest fear is the refs allowing Tarkowski to smash into the Arsenal forwards all through the game
