I know you have done a lot of games so that's such a massive compliment.

It's always nice to have new players join out regulars. I have loved having you as a player and hope you will return.

It's been a pleasure Ben!

Oh, I absolutely will play this again.

I knew I was going this round as the Salsa was super hard to find a song/artist from Divas that would suit or hadn’t been used, so I figured I’d try my luck with the other one.

I’m not one to play it safe and threw out some risky songs the whole game, and honestly I thought DuckTakes would be my downfall.

Duck tales was crazy. Kylie would have never!

If you watch a jive though it fits haha. I couldn’t find much else, 80’s is probably my weakest. I needed my 80s and 90s dance to be switched as had so many jives for 90s

It was the fact that Kylie is such an iconic 80s star, you literally could have chosen as song by herself. But you went with duck tales it was really funny :joker:

Honestly so many times I wanted to use Kylie, but figured I’d be marked down by everyone for doing so

Just off the top of my head "Wake me up before you go go" by Wham would fit a Jive perfectly.

It’s been used before. I tried to avoid songs used before. I wanted to be more imaginative with my choices. DuckTakes was my dark day. The thing is I switched it in for my original choice - The Firm - Star Trekkin which wasn’t any better

Getting knocked out by Wham rather than Duck tales would have been easier for me to take.

Can I cash in my Glitterball now and take my place in the final?

You guys didn't know that twist, did you?

Strictly Jake 04-12-2024 07:40 PM

So finalists, how will the final work?

I will look back at all the past weeks and find your two highest scoring songs that you will be performing again. Along with this I need you all to send me your showdance song, I still don't really know how to describe a showdance, it like a journey sorted of song, or just a big song. If your unsure have a look at all the past showdances on strictly. I won't send you a dance for this. It's basically Showdance. It will be a combination of different dances you have learnt. Hope that makes sense. So send me your showdances and I'll let you know the 2 other routines you will be taking on again.

I'm hoping all the past players from this series will come back to do the final rankings that will determine the winner

Benjamin 04-12-2024 07:41 PM

I’m ready to rank you all. Make it good!

You have to perform a paso doble to Pokémon theme tune first.

When this is over. My brainchild music game will be starting. It's called "We will rock you"

It's a rock music game played over 10 rounds.

The 10 rounds will be sub-genres to rock music.

The 10 rounds are as follows.

Rock and roll
British invasion
Progressive rock
Metal/heavy rock
Glam rock
Punk rock
Soft rock
Indie rock
Grunge
Britpop

There will be no voting off. Everyone will take part in each round. And the scores will be accumulated from each round. The person with the most points at the end will be the winner.

Each player will be playing has a legendary rock artist, so that our identities are kept secret.

Applications to take part are open straight after the final of this Strictly game.

Plays right into my wheelhouse, Alfie. Love rock music, me. Most other genres leave me cold. I have questions... Firstly, are you serious? And secondly, do we get to choose the artist or do you choose?

Strictly Jake 04-12-2024 08:18 PM

All finalists have now received the performances they will be taking on again

Benjamin 04-12-2024 08:19 PM

I'm as serious as this is also my type of music and I am also out of my comforts zone in these Strictly games.

But the thing is, I wouldn't want to be the host, I'd want to take part. It was mainly a brainstorming idea that I believe has legs.

And I don't see why we wouldn't be able to choose our own artists, if that's what we all wanted.

Well, if anyone wants to take it on, I'm in.
