Yeah I forgot to gif that but I love that you hunted that part down just to do it  |
So, Friday Night Live got off to another wonderfully shambolic start

Don't get me wrong, I like how the BB Australia audience isn't all about booing as much as the UK, but my god I don't understand why they're cheering on Drew and Tully.
I'm also getting a little bit bored of the Tim-centered highlights shows/eviction shows. I feel like every episode I've watched thus far has had its own Tim segment, like "oh wow, Tim received 40% of the vote to save, let's take a look at the reason why". |

I really wish I watched these tasks when I watched the season. I always skipped them purely because of how long some of them were, but they all seem quite fun. |

And yeah, the FNL episodes are great, very funny. They are long but I always really enjoy them. Much better than the Showdown segments on BB10 (which I liked but they were just a smaller scale version and not half as fun). |
How would you place BB7 in your rankings thus far?
|
Probably
1. BB5 2. BB6 3. BB7 4. BB10 5. BB9 6. BB11 The Network 10 ones are definitely superior. |
:clap2: I think BB10 could've been one of my favourite seasons of all time had it not been so family friendly. It's often pretty cringe and childish at times.

BB10 was definitely enjoyable in its own right though, but it feels more overly polished and sanitised compared to the older ones. |

SAYING that though, I love the chamber. |
The thing is, even on Network 10 the highlights shows were never at BBUK level of being non family friendly (the more adult stuff seems to have usually been on the extra shows like Uncut) but they were still less sanitised than the later series.
Like, things like Nelson calling Big Brother a Jew and Kate saying she wants to punch Emma would likely have never seen the light of day on Channel 9. I still remember they randomly cut down the big Angie vs Layla argument in BB9 to remove a scene of Angie approaching Layla and yelling in her face, I saw it on some promos but then the actual episode was edited really awkwardly and shouting at someone is hardly that offensive. |
Although Network 10 was guilty of it at times too, I think relegating the Kate homophobia controversy to Uncut was unnecessary (although at least it was still shown and she discussed it with Gretel during the nominations show after she left so it still got acknowledgment in the main show)

One thing Channel 9 had over Network 10 though was the house dogs
|
I love that. If there's anything I'd want added to BBUK more than anything else it would be house pets. Though the types of housemates we get these days, perhaps that wouldn't be a good idea.

Stop nominating Mikkayla http://i.imgur.com/wcc2t9b.jpg
See that's another thing I don't understand, why she's always getting nominated. We never see her in any sort of conflict with anyone and she seems genuinely lovely. But apparently everyone hates her which doesn't seem to be portrayed in the highlights. |
