BBC News Text:
[Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer's plans
to tackle illegal migration if his party
were to win the general election next year.
The paper reports that the opposition
party is considering taking a share
of asylum seekers reaching Europe
as part of a deal in which the EU would
"take back" asylum seekers who entered the
UK illegally after crossing the Channel.

The Smugglers will be called Terrorist under Starmer.

[This morning Labour are talking tough
on “smashing Channel migrant gangs”
to stop the boats, vowing to treat traffickers
like terrorists by freezing assets and restricting
their movements.
While Starmer appears in both The Sun
and The Times to sell his migrant deal to voters,
the Conservatives are already on
the counterattack: not only does the
deal junk the Rwanda plan,
it opens the door to thousands of EU migrants
in exchange for a new borders agreement
with Brussels.
Starmer is willing to accept a share
of asylum seekers in return for the
EU taking back migrants who arrive
via small boats.
Labour insist this is up for negotiation,
which is code for ‘yes’…

Stamer told The Times this morning:

“We effectively exited the returns agreement
we were in and have never replaced it.
The first job is to secure the borders and make
sure we are the ones determining who comes
to this country.”]

Also there are certain jobs that need filling that your average citizen see themselves as "too good" to be doing, so the Government (Tories or Labour) take illegal immigrants from primarily third world countries who don't understand the rights that they have, to do these unwanted jobs for pennies.

Allegedly anyway.

Well that's because he will be our next PM.

Have you seen what he is up against?

arista 17-09-2023 01:49 AM

But Both Parties
will not allow "illegal migrants"
to work.

it's pretty obvious now that Starmer is just going to say anything to try and get the votes

It worked for Boris in the brexit vote so the strategy isn't a stupid one. It's more a reflection on politics today.

It also wouldn't surprise me if he starts a chorus of "lock him up" against Sunak

Yes fair points,
Starmer
is making sure Brexit voters
know he's staying with them

Every time he opens his mouth, he wipes out any ounce of respect they’ve managed to get since the last time he said something stupid, it’s practically a superpower at this point
