- A baby will be born during the disaster

Was weary to look cause I dont want to be spoiled who gets killed.

Looks like the crash will cover up John's murder?

Scarlett. 24-09-2010 10:18 PM

Indeed lol

I hope there will be more than three deaths lol

Smithy 24-09-2010 10:56 PM

3 deaths would be an anticlimax, we already know
Spoiler:

molly
will die in it, so that only leaves 2 deaths,

I want
Spoiler:

Molly
maybe 2 or 3 lesser characters then a biggie

As well as creating the explosive scenes, special effects will be used to show the rest of the fictional Manchester borough of Weatherfield for the first time, Mr Collinson revealed.

"The special effects work we'll do isn't just about crashing the tram," he explained. "We're going to see Coronation Street in the context of the wider world.

"So we're going to have great big wide shots that show you the rest of Weatherfield. Life has begun and ended at the top and bottom of the street, but for the first time we're going to see the wider world."

I was just about to ask what the title meant

Scarlett. 24-09-2010 11:02 PM

lol :p it's weird that in 50 years, we've never see Weatherfield properly xD I think he means it will be digitally created too

flemin 24-09-2010 11:02 PM

I trust they'll do a good job with the cgi. As someone who has an eye for that sort of thing, I'll say the old titles were excellently renderred and that was all the way back in 2002!

We did in the old opening titles.

Scarlett. 24-09-2010 11:03 PM

The Mill are very expeirenced, so I'm sure they'll do well, they could do with filming some establishing shots too xD

Kinda, those titles contradicted themselves in a lot of ways :p

but when a bridge is shown next to the Rovers in one shot and then in the next its gone, it's kinda questionable :p

It's a magic bridge. Now you see it, now you don't.

Scarlett. 24-09-2010 11:16 PM

lol it is weird how it doesn't run down the back street...let's ignore that xD

flemin 24-09-2010 11:25 PM

shush, you're aggravating my ocd. Corrie's perfect and flawless in every way.

Scarlett. 24-09-2010 11:26 PM

lol, to be honest, you can write it off saying its the end of a line or something :p

flemin 24-09-2010 11:28 PM

Yeah, that's DEFINATELY it.

I <3 PC's work so far. He's really turned the show around.

Scarlett. 24-09-2010 11:31 PM

indeed he has, to be honest, the past decade, especially the second half felt like the show was just stuck in one place, now it feels like it is moving ahead

flemin 24-09-2010 11:35 PM

I think the show was good up until 2007, then it got crap with successive useless producers. Kim Crowther being the worst. PC has made the show interesting and I'm actually looking forward to each episode again. Roy and Hayley's wedding was one of the best ever, as was the one with the Manchester tart.

Scarlett. 24-09-2010 11:52 PM

Kim Crowther was truely terrible, glad she is gone, funny that the four weeks follow Phil begining, we got some classic moments that will be remembered for years to come

flemin 24-09-2010 11:58 PM

The only good thing Kim Crowther did was make the most of Blanche in her final year. Her only memorable moment was the AA meeting. Everything else was utter crap and garbage.
