7/7 Bombings.

Locke. 02-05-2011 03:45 PM

Twin Towers was much worse than that

GiRTh 02-05-2011 03:45 PM

On Fox news now they're alreadly talking about scaling down the troops in Afghanistan. About time.

keithafc 02-05-2011 04:35 PM

Great news. He deserved to be taken out. No trial. Pure execution. Well done Navy Seals.

I bet he was actually killed last week, and for security reasons it was left to be announced after the wedding

Hmm.. that's maybe a possibility!

Maybe also the reason for the delay in Kate and Will's honeymoon?

Although "the West" is really taken to mean any country with a capitalist economy and other such similarities with the US/Canada/UK... I guess NATO would be a good guideline

LOL Rummy's claiming the intelligence came from Guantanamo Bay.

Its gonna be fascinating to see how the right wing are gonna spin this. They're praising Obama but over time I bet they claim Bush cleared the way for him.

arista 02-05-2011 06:10 PM

They Got Him
he would not come out Alive they Killed him.

Terror will not stop
but it tells them - they are hunted forever.

As for Pakistan
it was important to not let them know.

A Blockbuster Film on this will be made, of course.

No they had to
as Saudi Arabia did not want his body in there nation.

If his body was on land
it would be attacked.

No they knew back then
but waited to attack until after that wedding.

Uh, did news of the London bombings completely pass you by?

Locke. 02-05-2011 06:52 PM

It did actually, I don't know too much about it.

The one thing you would expect them to do (have the body available for the public to see) they don't do.

I could feel myself getting sick to my stomach when Obama said we'll follow the Islamic burial procedures. It is such bull sh*t. I personally think this guy has been dead for years now.

Really? You missed them?

Locke. 02-05-2011 08:50 PM

I know the basics of it but not who was behind it, how many died, etc.

Zippy 02-05-2011 09:06 PM

so the world is wanting proof of his death and they go and bury him at sea instantly? Considering its taken them 10 years to capture him(and billions of dollars) I find this extremely suspicious.

yes I know there are muslim rules regards quick burials but it seems odd that you can kill a man and then worry about his religious sensitivities! I think his supporters were already pissed about him being killed so holding back on the burial wouldnt have made much difference. All theyve done is leave the door open for a million conspiracy theories. Utterly stupid.

And people should remember that Osama has still not been proved to have been behind the 9/11 and 7/7 attacks. He's just a convenient figurehead to hate. Those terrorists are all still out there and now they will have revenge on their minds. Security will be stepped up and millions of people even more inconvenienced at airports etc.

Yeah, such a success.

I agree that revenge will be taken for this by his followers, some really worrying times ahead for us all I think.

Even muslim rules don't call for immediate burial. It seems odd a prize of this stature was so rapidly disposed of.

In the eyes of the average Arab, we violate so many of the laws in Islam: invading/occupying their land, killing civilians, stealing their wealth (oil).

To think that on this one issue we decide to respect Islamic law is just too much to believe.
