And where did I say you annoy me?

These hysterical overreactions which you so clearly have a capacity for are why I don't think, personally, you would make a good mod. If you want to be a mod you have to be judged and put under scrutiny by the members. That's the whole idea. You can't say 'I would love to be a mod. You can't judge me though. Just make me a mod or don't'.

I just personally think the new mods should be like robots. Nothing more. Strict, precise, fair men of steel.

Fooking hell.

Over reactions? Is it really unjust for me to assume that i annoy you considering you continuously assume reasoning behind my posts which aren't there.

However we could argue for hours as you are acting terribly hypocritical but im just going to agree to disagree and leave it there because i cant be bothered to argue.

I never said I would make the perfect mod. I said it was unjust to make judgements based purely on age as i know of people older than me on here who would be less suited for the job. I never said i would make a good one.
You act as if I don't read when i post when you do the same thing.

Stu 16-05-2011 04:41 PM

Whatever. I don't even understand what you are saying anymore man. You're posts are full of hysterical overreactions and non truths and you have basically told me why you wouldn't make a good moderator.

Just because I think members like you, members like me shouldn't be mods you took it as a personal attack and fought for your right to not be 'controlled' by people like me and my opinions.

Hysterical is not the word for it. This has gone on for too long and has served only to solidify my stance that young, reactionary people don't make for good moderator material. Well done.

If you don't understand what I'm saying how can you tell they are 'hysterical overreactions'. I never took it as a personal reaction or overreacted as you dont know the tone in which im writing.

However saying that the way I choose to post is not good enough for moderating is a personal attack, though I've never replied in that way.
You cannot say that I would not make good moderator material though because you've never witnessed me in the role. I wouldn't be a good moderator however its not your place to tell me wether i would be good or not.

So they say

Nah, but seriously, the main reason was that I had no life. Since joining til then I had probably spent about 14 hours a day on here, most of that was through the night, and they needed someone who was very active on a night time coz all of the mods were only on through the day. Was only meant to be a temp 'job' but ended up being permanent :)

Because hysterical overreations tend to take up massive paragraph space without really saying much.

'I won't let people like you with your opinions rule me' sounds like an overreation, considering I expressed no intention to 'rule you'.

No it's not. It's me deciding based on the way you post that you wouldn't be suitable as a moderator. We are all free to think that about each other. It's the internet. Not real life. It couldn't possibly be a personal attack.

You could say the same about a lot of special cases that lurk around this forum. The whole idea of picking a moderator involves basing it on what they would probably be like, based on what you have seen. Like it or not that's how it works.

Yes it is. I don't need anyones permission to voice my opinion on who I think would be a good moderator. You may disagree with my opinion and that's cool but I am still entitled to have it whatever you think of it.

I hope that has cleared everything up. In short get over it.

I would have went with 'Anal Reverse'.

Poor lad has a terrible record of building up laugh trains to combat the frequent ones against him.

Ahhh...the old bully boy gang ....... out of interest all of you.... how would you know what is said when punishment is metted out.......unless of course your friendly moderators are happy discussing what should be private. ;)

Oh, I'm quite sure you got the gist of it. Quite clearly what is discussed between moderators and members that is meant to be private - isn't.

I also note that you don't deny it either. ;)

Smithy 16-05-2011 06:23 PM

They don't discuss anything with us, my point was, as it still occurs, it's clearly not working, so it needs to be harsher

I'll ask again. How would you,Scott, Jordan know what goes on when someone has been punished - and whether there are any 'arguments'...... to make reference to such a thing...you slipped up there I think.

Charlie: I agree. It's not the 'age' it's the maturity level that's important.

Joeysteele I agree would make a great mod along. :)

sorry.... I'll address posts in which I am being discussed Iceman, I'm not breaking any rules, and I have a right to defend myself when I am being discussed like this in public and by other members.

I would imagine because most members who make a fuss when they are punished moan on on the main board either after getting the infraction/getting back from a ban.

I fail to see how CLEARLY moderation isnt kept private...from what smithy originally said, but nevermind
