Still I give up trying to get people who really hate Jedward to give any credit to them, they only ever look for the negatives of them personally and professionally.

It's a rare thing to find in showbusiness an act that doesn't use foul language,on stage or on TV, they never do, they always say thank you to people too. Few notice that though, just looking for something to put them down on.

Having a supposed squeaky clean image - when it's clear these two have no respect for others around them, for belongings of others, nor respecting a house that they share with others - is enough for me to dislike them - together with their unbelievably level of immaturity.

As I say: I'd like to see someone smashing foodstuffs into their belongings, letting it sit for long enough, and see how tolerant Jedward were then.

Or would they throw the petulant petted lips out - the same way they have done because (most likely) BB told them off.

I get you didn't see the clip of them standing there giving their fans the two fingers when they were inside Lidl the othe night then...... the sign for "F>>> you, get it up you" etc.... they weren't giving people the vickies and thinking it meant "Good evening, hope you are all well and are enjoying the show".

I'm hazarding a guess that Jedward aren't quite as wholesome as their public persona and their PR spin makes us believe.

None of that mitigates them from being incredibly selfish in the house, destructive towards the furnishings and fitting, clearly disregarding and disrespecting the place that is not only their home, but the home that they are sharing.

Food stuffs being dropped on the floor, being left for hours, refusing to clean it up, having other hms needing to do it instead.

Hi Pyramid, welcome back  Hopefully we'll be on the same side for BB:hugesmile:

Yeah, this 'I've messed up but I'm trying to make it up now' crap, I can't see that watching your mum pissed on TV, draped over a lad only 9 years older than you and disappearing into the loos with him is exactly what a 10year girl wants. Yep it's all about the kids with Kerry:rolleyes:

I don't think that image has fundamentally changed.

If they are seen as having a bit of a 'bad boy' streak, it won't do them any harm at all.

I have a feeling that some of their behaviour has been egged on by BB though. ;)

I near always in the main agree with you but don't on this at all. That saddens me.I have though had enough stick and ridicule to me as to Jedward from some on here and had personal insults too.

It's a wonder though some people even allow them to breathe all these terrible things they do.

I will not try to debate them further with you, your mind is made up and we will go round in circles but I can see lots of good in them.
They really entertain me,their concerts are one the best, most enjoyable high energy shows I have been to.
They are always very polite and meet you afterwards and are genuinely interested in and love their fans.

If thats awful people then I am happy to support awful people.

CaudleHalbard 04-09-2011 01:51 PM

I suspect a lot of the Jed-haters would alter their views if the actually met the twins in person.

I would be amazed if any of the HMs had anything bad to say about them, even Darryn.

Aww Joey:hug:
Before CBB, I've always thought Jedward seemed nice enough, you know kind of ok and harmless, they've had to put up with a lot of hate for two young lads. But since CBB, I like them a whole lot more. I'm officially a Jedward fan loud and proud, em 'just sayin'

I'm not entirely sure why there appears to be such angst in your post. BB as you know is one of these shows whereby people who usually agree and find common ground: can have polar opposite opinions.

This is one of those areas as far as you and I are concerned, it's certainly nothing personal.

I find it all too much of a sham act from them. that's how I see them. I'm most certainly not ridiculing you for supporting anyone, Jedward or any other housemate: and I've certainly not insulted you.

I am putting over the very reasons why I don't like them. It's certainly not personal against you. I admire you for standing up for your convictions so well - we simply don't agree as far as jeward are concerned. That makes neither of us bad people.

so come here....

That's a real nice post Ammi, thank you. I guess since I have met them and see how they are after shows with their fans, with the younger people there, who are there with their parents and how friendly and polite they are to all of them that I have a totally different perspective of them.

Not liking them for their act I can understand but then why watch them at all,if they don't like them, the personal hate directed at them and their fans though is absolutely out of order and disgusting,on here too.

I am only 19 myself, also because I am a student you get all sorts of people putting you down and generalising at times.
Like you though I am proud to be a Jedward fan.

joey...it's not the Jedward show. It's Big Brother - and they are only part of the show, therefore those who watch the show, have to take into account them being in the house - to determine what they, the viewer, think Jedward and all other housemates add / give to the being in there.

People are going to absolutely detest them for their own reasons. It's not disgusting...it is life. I'm not seeing hatred being shown towards jedward fans: but toward Jedward.

If this is getting to you so much, it might be worthwhile taking a little step back - as it seems as though you are taking this all way too personally. It's not about you. it is about them.

Yes I'm sure that the celebrities known as Jedward are miles apart from the boys who are John and Edward, it's a shame the haters are not willing to open their minds and see that, but I guess the being marmite thing is a big part of why they've been so successful, so probably they don't mind

I think labelling the term HATERS to those who are not fans of Jedward is actually against the rules Ammi. let's play fair here. If any insults are now being offered up: they are not coming from those who aren't Jedward fans.

Something we can all agree about:

Jedward gets talked about more than any other HM on CBB. And it's not all about "get them out", it's far more varied than that.

Doesn't that say something? :)

Sorry, if I wasn't clear, I meant the Jedward haters i.e. Marmite- love them or hate them, no insults intended for members

Jedward haters is the term that's beenused to describe those how hate them.... it cant be used towards those who love them. It's pretty lame, tha's all I'm saying.

Jedward, the act is what and who are on Big Brother. Them as Jedward.

they are not on the show as John as not being part of the act Jedward, and Edward as not being part of the act Jedward.

If they want people to see the 'real individual off screen people', they shouldn't be in there as Jedward and playing up on that very role. If it's going to upset some because not everyone likes Jedward the act - this isn't the best place for them to be then. that's not meant to hurt, or be rude: it is very upfront and very honest - and is said with the very best of intention - to avoid people takign things far too much to heart.

I don't take it personally and I know it's not meant that way. As I said, I used the 'hater' term in reference to the marmite thing and see it was a bad use of words, my bad. I take offence myself to being called a hater just because I have a different view as someone else......and here I am doing the same.........................

CaudleHalbard 04-09-2011 02:37 PM

It will be interesting for sure, if we see a bit of the real John Grimes and Edward Grimes, following the egg fight incident.

Maybe they'll seem horribly............... normal. ;)

I know you aren't taking it personally... but young Joey appears to be doing so - and he shouldn't - the Joey i see on this forum is a million miles away from Jedward the act - and that is what I'm commenting on. I know you went down that route to try to assure Joey.

Not all members have been so considerate to poor Joey, only 19 and he's grey haired this last couple of weeks but he handles it brilliantly as always
