I'm more shocked Aaron was married with such feminine mannerisms as that.
Man up and grow some balls.

Maia 03-10-2011 09:57 PM

Wtf Aaron having a nervous breakdown over it O_O

Jake. 03-10-2011 09:57 PM

Aaron needs to get a grip... its an expression, Jay wasn't making a joke about the paraplegics

That's not difficult, she must have a very varied clientele.

Samuel. 03-10-2011 09:58 PM

wut

Like the cupcake thing all over again. At least that was about his son. This... is just odd.

They didn't even show Faye (and Maisy) bothering Aaron over the Anton flirting.

Something along those lines

Once you've had black you'll be in a wheelchair or something. lol

You can't even say complimentary things anymore.

How would you know what Jay might have said to Aaron, when we are only being drip fed bits and pieces of conversations?

It was a quote from the film "White Chicks"

Once you go black you'll be in a wheelchair and that's that

billy123 03-10-2011 10:02 PM

Probably because this is the year 2011, and racial stereotypes are a little dated. Blacks have big dicks, used to be alongside: blacks are good athletes but thick.

I can't believe that people think this is OK.

Samuel. 03-10-2011 10:04 PM

That episode sorta put me off all of them slightly...

It was joke about the OTT PC brigade. You can't even say "black" without it being regarded as an insult.

Not to mention the double standard with "racism".

Edit - And I didn't say anything was ok. Just that the response was way over the top.

That's just not true, though, is it? Black is a perfectly acceptable word.

Before the PC brigade, people used to wear black face on TV and do racist impressions. I'm a liberal white guy, who you would probably class as over sensitive. But I used to have to read racist stuff written on walls when I grew up. You can't have it both ways.

Why did Jay ask Aaron if he had said this?

Both ways? What do you mean?

I meant that it was the PC brigade who changed the dialogue in our country, from Alf Garnett to where we are now. I meant that it's impossible for me to be overly critical of the pc brigade, when the alternative is much, much worse.
