I bet 1.8 million.

I think it's done quite well for a show on Channel 5, I bet if you rounded up any other of it's programmes it would have minuscule ratings.

Also, people are right in saying it's not event TV anymore, the show is being watched by the fans but I think it's main target audience would be 14-21 year olds so it's pulling in the younger audience, if they had a better age range of housemates in the September series and filled this series less models then I think it'd probably get a much higher reception. I'd say if they had of thrown in Ruby Wax, Boy George and ditched the twins it'd have something for everyone.

As it stands at the moment I think it's more likely that young girls and gay are the target audience given that it's filled with Kirk for his looks, Nicola and Denise for their strong female opinions , Natasha for her controversy, Natalie for her weight issues, the twins for there California girls image, the rugby guy for his coming out bravery, Andrew for his flamboyance and Frankie for his bad boy image, they are all really tabloid showbiz magazine celebs so I think Channel 5 know their type of audience pull. :)

How do you work that out?

Because CBB8 dropped from 6 million viewers to 1.7 million viewers by the end of its run.:joker:

Mystic Mock 08-01-2012 01:53 AM

I think it will pull in 2 million viewers.

The lowest CBB8 got was 1.9 million and that was for a Saturday episode.

CBB8 averaged 2.8 million viewers.

Lets compare so far:

CBB8 launch: 5.3m
CBB8 1st highlights: 3.4 m

AND

CBB9 launch: 3.5 m
CBB9 1st highlights: 2.6 m

So how is CBB9 doing better then CBB8? LOL

Are you just making things up?

No its not lol.

A programme that more people watch is more popular and more people were watching CBB8 at this point last year. FACT.

CBB9 is holding more steady so far so its clearly more popular with the public, where as CBB8 dropped 2 million viewers for its 2nd episode.:joker:

The fact is this is the ratings thread and you said that this years ratings were better than last years when they 100% are not.

Without plus 1 last nights episode got 2.4 thats a million down from the same episode last year.

Yes its a smaller drop but its less viewers to meaning its LESS POPULAR and is not out doing CBB8 performance wise.

Callum 08-01-2012 02:27 AM

I think CBB will be renewed, it's usually always trending on Twitter worldwide every night without fail and has steady ratings of 2m+ each night. In this day and age I would say that getting a show to trend or something related to the show to trend worldwide each episode is pretty damn good, I'm guessing that nowadays producers and the channel bosses take things like trending on Twitter into consideration when deciding a show's future. In comparison Amy Childs' reality show gets under 500k each episode. Not too many shows get over 2m on Channel 5 so why would they want to get rid of a show that brings in that amount of viewers each episode? Regular BB is a whole different story though and I can see this year's series being the last ever if ratings don't improve which I doubt they will unless live feed is fully reinstated.

SillyTilly 08-01-2012 09:00 AM

Last Nights episode got 2m with a peak of 2.5m.

Me. I Am Salman 08-01-2012 09:01 AM
