When I first heard this news I thought, they have to be joking.

Then on reflection I ended up thinking it may be a very good and clever move.
He was a big star in the UK, USA and Europe in the past, Germany particularly, often big stars from the past command respect from Europe too.

He may surprise everyone and do rather well for the UK.

Benjamin 02-03-2012 10:07 AM

Get in. I like him, we could do well this year. It makes a change from having a **** band that sing about crap nobody cares about.

Roy Mars III 02-03-2012 10:10 AM

best you have had for some time

Niamh. 02-03-2012 10:12 AM

Any news on the song he'll be doing? This is an interesting idea

He's in good hands apparently, the song-writer he has, has written for the likes of Adele and James Morrison in the past.

Roy Mars III 02-03-2012 10:15 AM

seriously though Humperdinck is probably the coolest last name ever

Benjamin 02-03-2012 10:49 AM

Josh Dubovie, yeah he came last, the song was absolute tripe, shame really he seemed like a really nice guy.

Glenn. 02-03-2012 12:52 PM

We might even make the top ten this year.

MTVN 02-03-2012 12:53 PM

Yeah that Josh guy was annoying, we actually put a lot of effort into it the year before with Jade and came 5th and then we went back to just picking some crap nobody again who was awful. Blue last year were good though

Black Dagger 02-03-2012 12:54 PM

Who was that group that got 0 points for us?

MTVN 02-03-2012 12:58 PM

Jemini  they were awful, Wogan was saying we would have got 0 points anyway though because of the Iraq war

I think he will make the first 10 and although he may not win it, will likely bring a far more credible result for the UK.
He is certainly going to be perhaps a more 'unique' act this year and just may do extremely well. Good luck to him.

Benjamin 02-03-2012 01:25 PM

I'm hoping for a top five finish this year.

MTVN 02-03-2012 01:35 PM

Niamh. 02-03-2012 01:46 PM
