Novo's definition The sport of competing in 100 metre sprinting

You know your losing an argument when Brother Leon comes in to support you

DAT KNOWLEDGE

Brother Leon and Lucas > You

i think it is time for you to Wiki Athletics and then check how many different events there are that are very different from each other.. so yes that means you can't just compare different events within Athletics, don't know how many more times i have to tell you this until it sinks in.. 100m is totally different then 10,000m..

Unless you do a compromise like the whole Bolt and Mo thing and do 600m you'll never know who is better out of the two ( which is the whole reason for this Bolt and Mo thing at the minute ) get with it Jobber

Headie 12-08-2013 12:43 PM

Ugh, can you take this to PMs please?

I came here to talk about the level of world-class athletics happening in Moscow, not to watch a pointless argument that can be done privately.

Anyway, glad to see PSD through to the semi's in the fastest time. Shocked @ Moline falling and finishing in last and Kaliese Spencer being DQ'ed. Hoping for an Ohuruogu win tonight!

Queen Christine :worship:

Beleke is better than her though :idc:

Brother Leon 12-08-2013 05:30 PM

Wow. Thought she just missed out. Quality race and execution.

Novo 12-08-2013 05:37 PM

That was unreal, can't believe Montsho didn't dip on the line though.. she must have known Christine Ohuruogo was going to close her down quick

Novo 12-08-2013 05:40 PM

Phil Jones is possibly the greatest Interviewer and reporter in the history of time

Novo 12-08-2013 05:51 PM

Fraser-Pryce was in her own race then :worship:

Probably my favourite athlete outside the Brits.

Pole vault champ Yelena Isinbayeva backs Russian anti-gay law

http://www.cbc.ca/gfx/images/sports/...nbaeva-940.jpg

Pole vault great Yelena Isinbayeva condemned homosexuality Thursday after criticizing fellow competitors who painted their fingernails in rainbow colours to support gays and lesbians in the face of a new anti-gay law in Russia.

The Russian, who won her third world title Tuesday in front of a boisterous home crowd, came out in favour of the law which has drawn sharp criticism and led Western activists to call for a boycott of next year's Winter Olympics in the Russian resort of Sochi.

"If we allow to promote and do all this stuff on the street, we are very afraid about our nation because we consider ourselves like normal, standard people," Isinbayeva, a two-time Olympic champion, said in English. "We just live with boys with woman, woman with boys.

"Everything must be fine. It comes from history. We never had any problems, these problems in Russia, and we don't want to have any in the future."

Denise Lewis is destroying her

Jemal 15-08-2013 04:54 PM

My girl perri shakes. Flopped:(

Novo 15-08-2013 05:09 PM

Knee Injury for PSD, amazing race from Hejnova though, Olha not retaining her triple jump title :(

Jemal 15-08-2013 05:12 PM

Too think shakes running her PB would of got her a silver which makes it more painful.

Novo 15-08-2013 05:31 PM

Think we might be seeing Meghan Beesley make a massive step up soon, she hasn't really been committed to the sport until very recently and she still only just missed out on the final, she said before she has quit her job to concentrate fully on the sport

Novo 15-08-2013 05:32 PM

Hannah England finishes 4th, probably better then she expected

Another sprint double for Mr Bolt

That's two Olympic sprint double Golds
And now Two World championship sprint double Golds
Add to that he's the World record holder in both sprint events

That would suggest he's the greatest sprinter of all time

But apparently he's not in the same league as Tyson Gay, and no amount of history he creates will change that, right LK?

Didn't expect Tiffany Porter to get a medal at all

Surprise Surprise Bekele(past his prime) ABUSED Mo

There is a reason Mo's dominance occurred whilst Bekele got old

MTVN 15-09-2013 10:48 AM

Mo would have passed him comfortably if there was room, too narrow for that last 200m though and a disgraceful show of gamesmanship by Bekele blocking him off

Legend killer 15-09-2013 10:58 AM

OAP Bekele wiping the floor with PRIME Somalia's finest Farah

Would be worried if I was Mo apparently Bekele is starting to take his training serious again

Just so you all know the Glasgow Indoor International Match is on tomorrow on BBC1 @ 13:45.

It's the normal USA vs GB format except this time Scotland & a Commonwealth Select Team will be competing too. Should be good! So excited for the Athletics season to finally start again!

Headie 26-01-2014 11:22 AM

Some good performances yesterday. Dasaolu looks set to be dominant again this year. Laura Muir did well too.

Next match is the British Indoor Championships/World Indoor Trials which will be streamed on the BritishAthletics website on 8th and 9th of Feb.
