I remember Mr XcX .. I got on realky well with him but everybody else thought he was a dick and he ended up getting himself permabanned :( |
I wouldn't exclude Mollie. I think that Most Loved should be a reflection of the six months leading up to the countdown, and for a large chunk of that, Mollie was a huge character on this forum and, in my opinion, that hasn't changed. The reality behind the user is different to what we were led to believe, which was very hurtful for a lot of users, and those users have every right to be angry and upset about that - but for other users, the user Mollie was someone they enjoyed talking to, and they have every right to show their appreciation for that character. What I do expect, however, is that like always, the votes will reflect what's going on on TiBB - if someone is popular, it will come across in the final countdown. That's the whole point of the thing - to show who we all love and why. It's a feel good thread, that's the aim and it always will be, I wouldn't want to sully it with negativity. :)

I think Zee has the right idea, anyone on a permanent ban cannot be voted for and those who 'choose' to opt out also cannot be voted for obviously.
Once you start with this one and that one for whatever reason, the list could potentially be endless as to who not to vote for. Everyone is aware that there was a problem with Mollie but if some people really liked the communication they had with that member then it is up to them to decide if they still want to include 'Mollie' in their lists. I hope Zee doesn't get put in a difficult situation with this,he organises this superbly and has already said who cannot be voted for. Permanently banned members and those opting out. I voted for Mollie too last time, however I won't this time, that will be my choice and it is for others to make their own choices as to if they do this time. I also thought MrLecturer was good fun, where did he go anyway? I enjoyed reading his posts. |
I think that active participation on the forum will always be rewarded, all I can recommend is that, as always, people nominate and vote for the people they think deserve their points.

Good call by Zee, hope thats an end to it now. PS, Twitter Robot should ALWAYS be in the top 50 where would we be without her. |

Might have to throw poor Mollie a pity vote. So much hate in here

Quite liked Mr XcX actually. I had forgot about him, he made stupid comments sometimes but overall I did like him. He was one of only 2 permabans that I disagreed with

I think the main problem with the Mollie scandal is that they never returned to explain themselves. Obviously, people taking the matter into their own hands probably has a lot to do with that, perhaps their parents have banned them from using the internet for a while, we don't know what happened... but I do hope that they come back one day and start using the forum again, I don't believe what they did was irredeemable. I still liked Mollie regardless of what they look like or what their real gender is, I firmly believe that the personality behind that account was that person's real personality.

Well, even if members do decide to do that purely for a wind up, they still have to provide reasons for their votes and I wouldn't imagine there are too many members willing to take the piss to turn it into a 'campaign', as it were...

is it just me that doesn't remotely care about 'mollie'. was never even that great a member tbh :idc:
