There is no way the series will average 2 million.

For that to happen it would have to get 2 million per episode or higher seeing as launch only got 2.13.

Tonight is a Saturday which is allways the lowest rated episode and im expecting a drop off after launch so its very possible it could dip below 1 million.

Or it could get 1.6m overnight to get 2m officially. I think 1.6m overnights could be doable if people stick to it.

Ok but It won't dip below 1 million

Jamesy 15-06-2013 10:50 AM

I highly doubt it will dip below 1 million.

Since being on C5 the show has hovered just above 1 million each night for a highlights show. So hopefully the same shall continue this year.

DigitalSid 15-06-2013 12:16 PM

Hopefully being billed as Big Brother Secrets & Lies in the sky epg (and I assume others?) will make people think tonight's is not a standard highlights show and lessen the usual Saturday drop this first week.

Where's all the live feed and bots figures?

That's what im wondering.

oathbreaker 15-06-2013 12:23 PM

Live feed got 70k viewers last night from 7/9pm I fully expect they will axe it.
As I tried to tell Frow that time slot was never going to work and you saw his reply that's all he was willing to give. Was never going to muster the numbers say a much later slot would get.

that being said if 70.000 people bought a season pass at 20.00 they really saying it wouldn't work online?

the promotion has been terrible I truly didn't even know it was being streamed online also.

Jamesy 15-06-2013 12:31 PM

They should do what C4 did with the final series of BB. Have 24/7 feed online. Do something at the start like 100 free 'season' passes and then charge a season pass at £10-£20 a go. Would probably work far more in their favour than putting 2 hour feed on tv does.

daniel-lewis-1985 15-06-2013 12:32 PM

what does 5* usually get in that time slot?

Gstar 15-06-2013 12:32 PM

Up against all the soaps it could have been worse

between 150k/290k

its not good but I fully expected it. when I saw the time slot they had given the feed my heart sunk because I know a later slot would be giving 5* some of its best ratings.

Okay C5 never wanted a 24hr feed but this time slot comes across more as burying the feed issue once and for all.

daniel-lewis-1985 15-06-2013 12:38 PM

**** that's bad.

daniel-lewis-1985 15-06-2013 12:42 PM

So what did live feed at 11:30 get?

in the old C4 days they threw numbers of 34k around...
that's when it all came out those numbers were taken from really early hours of the morning.

I suspect its going to be a tale of two halves

*mazedsalv** 15-06-2013 12:51 PM

I am sure the late night LF did much better. Over 200k I presume.

Also for those who wanted to know... Round 1 win goes to Emma against Davina.
Million Pound Drop returned with 1.67m.

That's good for million pound drop though isn't it I thought it would rate lower.

When do we get the ratings for BOTS?

think the late night 30 mins will get over 350k again this is the annoying part its almost like they are scared to admit people prefer the feed to BOTS.

JohnnyBB 15-06-2013 12:58 PM

the only good news weve had is that there wasn't a massive dip last night that would have killed any chance this series had and tonight saturday i think we'll be suprised raitings could well hold to 2 mllion. fingers crossed.

*mazedsalv** 15-06-2013 12:59 PM

People on DS saying that LF later got around 400k again.

Jack_ 15-06-2013 01:07 PM

These ratings just make me depressed :( that 5* figure is awful but what do they expect when there's been no ad for it or even any mention of it on the live shows (and I actually think it's deliberate so they can turn around and go 'we told you so'). I'm pretty sure it'll be axed in a couple of weeks if it continues and that will **** me off to no end, there was no promise that the two hours would be for the entire series regardless was there? So I'm sure when the next schedules come out it'll either be reduced or axed, UGH.

I'm so disappointed with the launches ratings too but again with no promo and it'll likely be saved for the millionth series of CBB what the ****ing hell do you ****ing expect? So no doubt either next years civilain series will be axed or it'll be the last and we'll be subjected to yet more z-listers being wheeled out for what is supposed to be the once a year lighthearted spinoff and is now becoming the overexposed main attraction. FFS, it makes me so angry, disappointed and upset.

Good stuff

Rob! 15-06-2013 01:09 PM

So technically it's the timeslot that's the problem here?

not surprised

noticed RZT has said the slot average for 7/9 has been around 85k
which is a little better for the 70k BB Live pulled in.

100% promise the guy was told this before the show even started
I just hope some common sense kicks in its perfect in a way late night coverage doing really well for what 24 mins of footage.

For me personally the feed would flop if even the late night offering was giving terrible numbers.
