Never mind. Runner up isn't bad and I'll bet over the years Dexter will make a great deal more money from his BB exposure than Sam's prize.

You missed the whole point of the show.

It was only the theme that was supposed to be 'Secret & Lies' and not the actual housemates.

Dexter will have nothing but his current 5 minutes of fame and will fall into obscurity very quickly.

His book that he plans to write about his experience, will be used to prop up storeroom doors at amazon.

He certainly was and if BB BBBOTS and Emma and the bad edits had not painted him in such a bad light some of the people who did not see beyond that would have seem that too

He also said he was giving the money to motor neurone cos his step father had it it was in the twist game but of course not shown on show and not really mentioned

So Sam could play vote for the winner who is giving a bit to charity - not a good reason it should always who entertained and Dex did that every single day against all the odds without losing his temper and dignified in his final interview unlike petulant Twinnies and Sam

Dex always will be my winner and King of BB2013

When BB14 is remembered, it will be Dexter and Gina who will be talked about. :)

Sam Who? ;)

Honestly... if people think Dexter is really intelligent and a deep thinker, they're going to crap their pants when they mean someone really intelligent.

Sam wasn't the most sparkling housemate ever, but considering the final five, he was by far the best of the bunch.

I agree Livia, Dexter didnt win end of.

He didn't actually win the money but he is a winner in many people's eyes.

End of. :p;)

But he didn't win the show. You can pretend he won the show and edit the last section out of the final on your skybox so it looks like Dexter won if you want but when it says BB14 winner it's Sam that has his name beside it not anybody else...

It seems to help them block out the pain of losing bless their little cotton socks.
It doesnt change the fact Sam won but if it helps them deal with their huge defeat so be it.
This thread brings a big smile to my face every time i open it.
A smile just like this one infact.

Winning £100k purely because of a sympathy vote is nothing to be proud of.

Sam was a piss poor housemate. Even the Twins or Charlie winning would have been a better result.

....and yet if the Jack & Joe or Charlie had won all of these threads talking negatively about why Dexter should have won would have Sam's name removed and replaced with one of theirs.

However, no matter how many threads you or his fans make it still does not reflect that actual truth that Sam won purely due to the fact that he was a lot more liked and a hell of a lot more popular than any of the final 5, including your precious piss poor housemate Dexter who lied his way into the house and became a blubbering idiot within 1 week of entering the house!

Get over it!

CaudleHalbard 22-08-2013 01:45 PM

If this was a horse race there would be a steward's enquiry after Sam won! Lol! :D

Actually that's bull****, because they actually contributed to the series and would've been hella lot more deserving than Sleepy Sam.

Who votes out of sympathy exactly? I've never known anyone do that. I do know that decent, rational human beings don't vote for ******s though and that's why Dexter didn't win.

I hope he continues on the journey he was endlessly, tediously banging on about though, preferably far enough never to be seen or heard from again. That "journey" bollocks was far more fishing for sympathy than anything Sam ever said or did.

It ruins your memory. Is your memory the only one that counts then? :xyxwave:

To keep calling it a sympathy vote sounds very anti-disability to me. Why does he need sympathy when he has proved he can overcome his hearing problems despite all the negativity coming from some quarters? Clearly many considered him a better option than the likes of Dexter and Gina - live with it.

Actually it's true, I'd have been satisfied with pretty much anyone this series winning other than Sam and Sophie (and Daley, obviously) because um...surprisingly they were actually a part of the series? Sam barely featured until the last 10 days, it's quite clear he didn't deserve to win. And I made this clear on numerous occasions in the two weeks leading up to the final that it was 'anyone but Sam' and I'd be satisfied, obviously you don't read enough posts.

I didn't even rate the twins that much but I'd have taken them winning over Sam any day.

Sam was the series bore and did nothing to warrant winning the series and the title of what is effectively the best housemate this year because um newsflash he categorically wasn't.
