Yeah - that's more likely, unfortunately.

Drew. 02-09-2013 02:38 PM

Ozil has passed his medical

GiRTh 02-09-2013 02:42 PM

YEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!

But more importantly Man Utd and Chelsea aren't interested so he's ours if we can agree terms. I'll believe we've actually signed him when I see him in an Arsenal shirt but things are looking good.

Drew. 02-09-2013 02:42 PM

Tom Carroll has chosen to move to QPR on loan rather than Ajax..

Drew. 02-09-2013 02:48 PM

Woody to offer 50k then

Please, please, please, happen. A midfielder after five years of needing one would be fantastic.

Shaun 02-09-2013 02:58 PM

i see my pessimistic tweet this morning has kicked arsene into gear

re: the Demba Ba fee... why do they want £3m for a loan move? :S

Ryan57 02-09-2013 03:02 PM

The usually on the ball @NikaCuenca of AS claims Ander Herrera will take a pay-cut from €4 million to €3 million a year to join Man United.

Cuenca of AS says Herrera himself will deposit the €36m release clause w/ LFP. Marca guy in Bilbao says club's will do deal to save tax.

A midfielder? I will scream like a One Direction fan if we sign him.

Shaun 02-09-2013 03:04 PM

is it just me that had never heard of Herrera before this week

(sky sports throwing up "Ozil signing close to completion" breaking news banner )

Jesus. 02-09-2013 03:04 PM

No wonder the Spanish economy is so much in the s**tter, if it's that easy to avoid tax over there.

He's one of Bilbao's men that pissed on us back when we were in the Europa League.

4.00pm BST
Liverpool transfer news

"Dani Pacheco loan moves to Spain are no more," reports Andy Hunter. "The Liverpool forward is joining second division side AD Alcorcon in Madrid on a permanent basis."

The great, white hype. I thought he was going to be a player for years. Oh well, good luck to him.

Man Utd have agreed to meet Herrera's €36m clause and play a friendly in Athletic's new stadium in 2015. [CUATRO-DEPORTE]

That fee is the most remarkable thing. Arsene Wenger spending that much. Blimey!

Drew. 02-09-2013 03:30 PM

Wenger will be proud of himself tonight
