Zayn Malik quits One Direction: 69% of fans support his decision
One Direction fans have largely supported Zayn Malik's decision to quit the group. Oxford University analysed tweets surrounding news of the singer's departure, finding that 69% of fans expressed positive sentiments towards Malik. "The degree of positivity reflects the mixed emotions that people often experience in similar 'loss situations'," Oxford University's Dr Karo Moilanen explained. "Despite Malik's shocking departure that caused obvious shock and sadness, his fans still love him dearly." The 22-year-old generated over 3 million tweets after confirming his departure from One Direction, TheySay data reveals. |

And I know it's not their fault if their fans behave like idiots, but if you're not some hormonal teenage girl it can be very hard to want to associate yourself with them when their fans behave like such trolls on Twitter. |

Most of the haters just think that their Music is ****, they're talentless, and that they've only got popularity off their looks, imo it's a much more sane and valid argument.

And fair enough if you think their hate is down to jealousy, I personally do think that there is valid reasons to dislike them though unlike some of the other guys that I've seen get attacked by men in the past, and I've definitely seen jealousy come at some girls for no reason as apparently they're all evil or something according to some female viewers of Music.:joker: |

I'm pissing myself at this...
"The bible said Adam & Eve not Zayn Malik leave" |
My Niece is so upset :(.
A lot of it may be down to my Dad thinking Zayn died though and actually telling her that . |

I also do think that the jealousy card can be used so much against women that they end up laughing us guys off when we do have a genuine case. Imo the fights that some of the guys shouldn't have fought because the female viewers had a point on them are these. Cami (CBB15) Chloe (CBB15) Fleur (TXFUK11) Hazel (BBUK14 as for some reason people fancied her) Faye (BBUK12) Maisy (BBUK12) Louise (BBUK12 again some people weirdly fancied her) Noirin (BBUK10) But yes those are cases where the male audience was crying foul for no reason imo, but it still doesn't mean that women have not been jealous of pretty girls on TV Shows before. Ones where I think the male audience have been blatently jealous of another man just because their hatred was so disproportionate to what they did in their series was probably these. Ash (BBUK15) Arron (BBUK13) Aaron (BBUK12) Sezer (BBUK7) Mikey (BBUK7) Sam Callahan (TXFUK10) Luke Friend (TXFUK10) Aiden Grimshaw (TXFUK7) Jamie Archer (TXFUK6) Austin Drage (TXFUK5) I know that I did just pick out Reality contestants there, but as 1D came from one of them I thought that it was more fitting to compare them. |
Zayn Malik quits One Direction: Hundreds of workers request compassionate leave following band member's exit
More than 220 calls were made to employment law experts by workers asking for compassionate leave following the news that Zayn Malik had quit One Direction. The singer’s announcement is said to have catalysed hundreds of requests made to the Employer Advice Service of Manchester-based company Peninsula. Employment law director Alan Price said “it was a situation you just couldn’t make up”. Employment law director Alan Price said “it was a situation you just couldn’t make up”. “While I sympathise with One Direction fans, I hardly think this qualified as compassionate leave,” Price told the Manchester Evening News. “If employees feel strongly about the issue then request that they take days off as a holiday, but compassionate leave is what you allow if a close relative dies, unless the employer is unaware of family ties with Zayn Malik then I hardly think that this qualifies. “Abusing compassionate leave is inconsiderate to fellow colleagues who may genuinely need the time off.” He went on to draw comparisons between the event and that of the big parting of ways of Robbie Williams from Take That in 1996, where they again experienced a huge spike in calls from concerned bosses. Caught the segment they did on 'this morning' yesterday where they showed the videos of all the little girls crying. Made my day that did. Might go hunt it out on youtube actually,
