Hilarious episode, some great one liners especially 'why don't we ask the bender?' :laugh2: Derren didn't write this episode, it seems like when someone else does or he has a co-writer the quality improves
Mind you I don't think they ever seem to strike the tone right with Pauline's alcoholism, because in itself it isn't funny but idk if they're trying to make it so or not |
Watched this for the first time in a while tonight, good to see some of the old characters still there but they will never be able to capture the humour they achieved in the first few seasons with the Garvey family. It's a lot more superficial now and I think they definitely need a bit of a cast shake up, a lot fell flat for me. I don't approve of the recreation of Madge either, she was too funny and too much of an icon to the show to be able to replicate her with another character (the older gran to the main family), don't think I'll be watching again next week :(

ITV have also confirmed a documentary that is to air on TV shortly before the new series this year. The documentary (Benidorm: 10 Years On Holiday), will have some exclusive never-seen before footage. The show's creator and writer Derren Litten guides viewers around Benidorm to reveal all about how the show was created whilst visiting the show's many real life locations. Cast (past and present) will talk about their roles on the show alongside show bloopers and exclusive behind the scenes footage of the 10th series being filmed.
All the Garvey family return for the one off special - Steve Pemberton, Siobhan Finneran, Sheila Reid, Ollie Stokes and Hannah Hobley talk about their time on the show. |
That documentary looks so good and so pleased all the harveys are coming back for it
