I'm genuinely curious Salv... Why do keep defending what this show has become?

The nomination procedure at this point is farcical (Does anyone know what the rules are?). HMs are being evicted without public votes. They are changing what the rules of a public vote are at the last moment. They are getting the housemates to actually film scenes for a HL show (maybe it is just for the final episode but that's bad enough and puts them on a slippery slope). They allow celebs out of the house. They kick them out for reasons we are assured would be offensive if we saw it, but they don't actually show us what it is that is supposed to be offensive. And what is the point of warning people about the show having scenes that may cause offense anyway?

Why would any real BB fan want this show to continue along this path?

There are other ex BB contestants who were shocked by what happened on the live coverage...

Interesting that Chloe says nothing like this happened in BB16, when they also had a "goodnight housemates/goodnight Big Brother" scene... maybe they can do those scenes without having to stage them after all...

I don't know why anyone is surprised, scenes have been set up for years. It goes with the manipulation. Not letting HMs decide for themselves which role they should play in tasks was one of the turning points. And the final point of no return was when they stopped 24/7 live feed. Do you really think they did that out of financial cost like they said? It's more a matter of how scripted something is rather than whether some scenes are set up or not. There's no way they have cameras running all the time. They used to show everyday things happening in the house, now it's based around specific scenes and has been for a while. The producers have had their favourites and storylines over the years, some of the audience buy into it and some don't and pick a lesser known HM or anti-favourite or switch off.

To be honest, at least they don't crop housemates out of scenes.

So they've nothing to say on the matter of them faking the "housemates go to bed" scene? :laugh:

It'll be interesting if they show this in the show tonight, with the requisite music overdub.

That's assuming they are always filming, when 24/7 live feed ended that always came into question.

Bear's chosen one 'ascension' to the top makes a lot of people question the legitimacy of the show. The editing has been very sloppy, if not entirely favorable towards one single housemate. This among, all the warnings he's received and the amount of turmoil he's been allowed to reap is crippling the show... so whether some people choose to believe based on this clip, that the entire show is more or less scripted (etc) it's not really the point... they've damaged the credibility this series in so many other ways at this point that this is only the icing on the cake.

This clip wouldn't have had the impact it has had otherwise. People just would've been like "Oh they film that for the finale... clearly it's not proof, they've shown it on LF", etc etc

What an absolute embarrassment and it just confirms what many of us have suspected for a while. That the show is completely scripted.
