Seriously, pro-refugee protesters said they preferred rapists over racists - sick minds indeed.

Apparently, according to one poster, there are 'a couple of Muslim terrorists', implying that anyone critical of Muslim ideology was making a big fuss about nothing and just full of hate. shrug:

Katie.

[Of course, Merkel wasn't around to respond to the horror as it unfolded. She was attending an award ceremony to celebrate the International Day of Migrants even as it seemed one of the 1.1 million she has let into the country tore another hole in her people and in Germany’s cultural life.

Actually, its not. Apparently, ISIS claim of responsibility contained no detailed information about the attack that wasn't already publicly known, so German authorities are currently working under the assumption that ISIS had no advance knowledge. In that case, their claim of responsibility would be based on nothing but speculation. Just as we are guessing.

Der Spiegel reports that some internal information from the Berlin terror investigation may have leaked from police to a German right-wing leader.

(cite in German) http://www.spiegel.de/politik/deutsc...a-1126948.html

The relevant entry is at 19:10 (7:10 PM Central European Time). Pegida is a right-wing grass-roots organization popular with middle-class Germans. The papers in question are apparently identity documents of the new suspect found in the cab of the truck.

Pegida spokesperson Lutz Bachmann caused confusion with a tweet as early as Monday night, by talking about a "Tunisian Muslim" as perpetrator. He claimed to have received this information from internal sources of the Berlin police leadership. At the time of the tweet, the attack on the Christmas market was only two hours old. Bachmanns statement contradicts representations of the Berlin police, which stated that the papers have only been found later. Only those papers have led to the manhunt for the current suspect. His name has only been published today (Wednesday). Bachmann wrote today on Twitter: "So my information from one hour after the attack was right, after all? Police are now looking for a Tunisian..."

Here is a screenshot of Bachmann's original Tweet:
https://twitter.com/ER_MV/status/811...789632/photo/1

The innocent guy was a refugee. The current suspect has been rejected as a refugee, and Germany had actually attempted to deport him. It failed because Tunisia didn't issue him travel documents (they actually, at the time, claimed he wasn't a Tunisian citizen).

The only reason he was even walking around Germany was that Germany hadn't managed to get rid of him.

Firstly, IS put out the call to Muslims worldwide, asking them to attack the infidel in any way they can, as a Soldier of IS. The more weak and criminal minded the person the more likely they will hear that call.

Secondly, when terrorist groups claim responsibility for atrocities - which many do, after every attack - the Security Services don't take their word on good faith. If they announce IS has taken responsibility you can take that to the bank. Whether or not your Google search acknowledges that.

Does it matter whether it's official or not? It's an ISIS inspired attack whether they are behind it or nor, we are not guessing that people have died or are injured

Exactly. It's hardly a coincidence that Muslims keep killing people in Europe and the US and the Middle East infact all over the world.Even if some haven't had direct contact with ISIS HQ they're hardly lone wolves. They're acting under instruction from ISIS and under the same ideology.

Imagine where we would be if the policeman wasn't armed :idc: he had plenty time to get away while they were interrogating the wrong guy sadly..unless of course it emerges he was a decoy :suspect:

Oh, I'm just filling in the gaps in the thread, theres a lot of confusion and false claims about refugees, Merkel and Muslim ideologies, and I think its appropriate to clear up the confusion as soon as we have information on it.. It still could very easily be an ISIS-inspired attack (I think that was one of your posts, I agreed with it anyhow), although I think a second debate is now open for this guy just thriving off being a criminal and living his life in the only sad way he knew of. I'm not sure if his motives matter an awful lot, especially when all anybody can do is guess.. its still the same tragic end result.

The terrorist behind Monday's deadly attack on a Berlin Christmas market swore allegiance to ISIS before dying in a wee-hours shootout with police in Milan Friday, some some 675 miles from the scene of Monday's carnage.

Anis Amri, the 24-year-old Tunisian whose monstrous attack sparked a 72-hour manhunt and raised questions about Germany's inability to come to grips with radicals among its burgeoning refugee population, was killed in the Sesto San Giovanni district of the northern Italian city, police said.Islamist terror suspect in Berlin attack killed in shootout in Milan

Definitely a good job the policeman was armed. It is certainly needed in mainland Europe now.
