I think it was just the first thing that popped into her head when she realised her comment had gone down like a lead balloon

Hence the backtracking. I guess we'll have to see where this leads. The fact that she's linked to Scientology it's not looking great.

I would describe someone as 'the gay boy' or 'the black girl' if I didn't know their name.

(Obviously not if they weren't a gay man or a black woman)

They edited it out of the 2pm repeat completely

I don't think it was because she didn't know his name though, they'd all been saying 'Austin' right before she said it, and then followed it with "Austin's gay isn't he?" (or something like that). So it seemed more like she was trying to make a generic point of "why would a straight man be ok with sharing a bed with a gay boy", rather than not knowing his name and just saying it to identify him. For me it's less about the actual term 'gay boy' (even though it was still unnecessary) and more about the point she was trying to make.

I thought the point she was making was why would he be ok to share a bed with a gay guy but not a straight guy

Did she get a warning for this?

I don't think he'd said that he wouldn't be ok sharing with a straight guy though, it was just that he'd chosen to share with Austin instead of Brandon for whatever reason (sexuality hadn't come into it from what I remember until Stacy brought it up).
