The Duke of Sussex has cancelled his trip to the Netherlands next week as the world awaits the arrival of Baby Sussex.
The Duke, who had been scheduled to visit Amsterdam and The Hague, will stay in England in the coming days, amid "logistical challenges" surrounding arrangements for the trip.
The decision means that he will be able to stay with his wife the Duchess, who will either be significantly overdue or enjoying her first few days with their newborn baby.

So it's probably a boy then? I had a bet on hermaphrodite :(

Spoiler:

I mean as the name

"The world awaits" I think the majority are bored rigid with the attention seeking Meghan after months of bump touching when a camera is close by ,when Kate was pregnant I think a lot more people were interested ,Meghan brought the publics disinterest on herself by the way she's handled this pregnancy from announcing it at a wedding to draw attention off the bride and onto herself ,to no photo call of the baby when they leave hospital, going against tradition of the Lindo wing .....
American Nanny etc

I thought Kate looked lovely when she was pregnant, very elegant. I'm really not a fan of pregnant women (not just Meghan) wearing skin tight clothes so everyone can see your naval poking out there... just my personal thing of course.

Why an American nanny, I wonder? In the land of the Norland nanny? Good enough for previous heirs to the throne but not for Meghan's baby. Make those changes Meghan, everyone's loving you for it.

Nothing looks worse than skin tight clothes on a pregnant woman ,Did you see the photos of Stacey Soloman in a bikini the other day ? PUT IT AWAY FFS ...Meghan is slowly but very surely turning people against her ,but sadly she's dragging once loved Harry along with her

She sure is, she's classy, sincere and respectful of the life she chose in the Royal family

So now we're reopen, maybe you can actually answer my question as to what exactly is your interpretation of public service when all you're complaining about is saying that you don't know when the baby is due? Why does knowing that fulfill a level of public service? How does that improve your life which I would have thought is the whole point of public service?

tbf Megan married into the Royal family with all the public duties that entails, and she and Harry were happy to have a lavish wedding which cost the taxpayer a pretty penny and for the public to turn out in their thousands, I don't think it should be too much to ask that news of their baby be issued as soon as it happens, people turn out in rain or shine to support the Royals and its a bit of a snub to royal watchers, personally I could care less, but the couple can't have it both ways

Liam- 04-05-2019 02:11 PM

Heaven forbid a couple chooses how to have their baby and live their lives, how dare they?

It’s not their job to parade their baby through the streets after pushing it out, they’ll show it off when they see fit, which is their prerogative

I did, none of it is a convincing argument that they should have to give birth or announce the birth a certain way, we don’t own them, they don’t work for us, they have no obligation to do things because we want them to, traditions aren’t rules, they’re allowed to be altered and/or changed at will, their baby, their decision

I'm not denying what you said about the wedding, but I don't especially understand how because they're related to the royal family it means that the public has to be informed of the progress of the baby.

Just because they're Royal means that privacy is off the cards? Doesn't seem we've learnt a huge amount since Diana's death.

If they wanted to keep things low key maybe they should have started with engagement interview and then the wedding....all they need to to do is bob up on some steps for 5 minutes, no one is expecting a Game of Throne style walk through the streets with the public on either side :joker: some journalist will ask Meghan how she is and she will reply I'm grand, then there will be some jokey comment made to Harry....job done, media frenzy finished. William and Kate have controlled how their family are exposed to the press and tread the line between privacy and keeping the royal watching public on side very well and there is no intrusion as far as I can see, anyway it makes no odds I don't follow the Royals but I do think I would feel shortchanged if I did.

bots 04-05-2019 03:34 PM

Meghan was asked to do a guest spot on Suits, so maybe he/she will be introduced to the world on that :joker:

Excellent Cherie, they cant have it both ways ,the Royal Family ( and Im a massive fan of them apart from Meghan,Charles and Camilla) are supported by the taxpayer, and like it or not they have a duty to the public, if Mrs Up Her Arse doesn't like that she can pack her bags and sod off back to the USA
