Always enjoy reading your perspective Lime

You're right they don't care about Ireland. They don't care about Scotland either.

you have totally changed your tune, you never mentioned Boris or Farage, my responses to you were about your comments regarding the British Public and well you know it, you can move the goalposts all you like

Neither Boris or Farage are currently PM, lets see what happens, I dont think your :cheer2: is very appropriate either in view of the seriousness of the situation with the Irish border :umm2:

Limes perspective is slagging you off because you live in the UK, she doesn't care that you voted remain

People viewing this ****show from abroad don't always put it as nuanced as we'd like it, Cherie. I have friends abroad who also tend to do that
The fact is that the remain side is not as loud as it should be and, bar occassional events like that march, our side is drowned out in the media by crap merchants like farage or johnson.
Look at the EU elections, why remain parties failed to create a voting block?

Anyway, I agree with Lime that Brexit is purely about English nationalism. They don't care about Ireland or Scotland. You'll see soon enough, they will push for no deal and damn Ireland and its peace process. Johnson already said it that UK will leave on 31/10 even if there's no deal.

bots 25-05-2019 03:27 PM

With respect to the Republic of Ireland, and as a remainer, this isn't about the Republic, it is about the UK. The Republic chose to join the EU and accept all it entails, the UK are leaving, they can't dictate to the UK. If resurgent violence is the expectation of having a border, then it's not a stable peace that currently exists, it's nothing but a sham.

Nigel Farage
is not in out Government
is a MEP.

If Boris Johnson wins the Conservative Leadership
its him alone

Arista, I refuse to believe your imagination doesn't stretch to comprehend the fact that you can be very influential in politics without holding office
Every now and then you persistently push forward this lame argument. Stop it.
Everybody knows Farage is very influential in setting the political agenda. He has been ever since Ukip.

Yes the DUP
are holding up the Conservative power
still , even though PM May is soon gone
They can work with Boris Johnson.

Yes he sets the tone
But he has no Power as a MEP.

Boris Johnson is going full steam ahead
Farage is a Outsider.
Thats how the Conservatives see it all
they are not joining with the Brexit party etc.

But thats because the Thursday
Vote of the EU Elections
had a large amount of Conservatives voting
for the Brexit Party.

As well as many Labour Leaver Voters.

Also to be fair
If Boris meets Farage in Private
that's normal, and no one will find out

With all due respect, Lime obviously reads this forum regularly so will be well aware that there is significant anti Brexit feeling in the UK, but still comes out with these sweeping statements about the GBP wanting to leave with no deal, her attitude is one that takes us back decades, blame the English for everything, I really thought we Irish had moved forward from that narrative but obviously some have not
