Not really an upset though.

it kinda is when Juventus are the more successful club, quality wise also better players on paper than a Lyon

but i kinda find it nice for Lyon, i mean recently they had their downs in the league, so this might be a nice mental boost upwards i hope for them

Bayern are making Barca look like a pub team :omgno:

James 14-08-2020 08:45 PM

Oh wow, Barcelona's heads have gone.

7-2.

James 14-08-2020 08:45 PM

Oh, 8-2 now.

Cherie 14-08-2020 09:00 PM

It was like Bayern were on the pitch with no opposition

Messi looked thunderous at the end, and I guess the manager will have to go

Lyon the football version of Messiah?

Calderyon 15-08-2020 07:36 PM

Wow, what has happened to Barcelona?

8-2 loss at home is not a good look to anyone.

I think Bayern are a very good team, the trophy is theirs for the taking.

Great that the Real/Barca duopoly is ended

Denver 15-08-2020 08:46 PM

And City fans were certain they had it won

MTVN 15-08-2020 08:49 PM

Wow what an absolute shambles from City

MTVN 15-08-2020 08:50 PM

Pep should be sacked like Sarri and Quique Setien were

Since arriving at an already title caliber team, Pep has spent £800m to make sure that city have got as far in the CL as David Moyes managed in his one season at united. :smug:

Now come on, not fair to compare him to someone of Moyes stature

MTVN 15-08-2020 09:11 PM

Seriously though any other 'big' European team would have sacked him for failing so repeatedly in the CL yet he retains this God like reputation among City fans and with a lot of pundits

The problem they have is that Pep is the best manager of his generation, and they built the club behind the scenes for 2 years before he got there. Not sure they can really change direction if they wanted to. Who could they get?

Denver 15-08-2020 09:17 PM

I don't see how he can be the so called best manager in the world when he hasn't made the final in 9 years or even been competitive
