"A debate with us all" ?
A backup is needed? Lol |
Idk who "us all" is... I'd assume most members don't have the luxury to sit posting throughout the daytime? :conf:

An example of that is the ridiculous comparisons between Kate & Meghan . The fuss about the wedding flower bouquet, I didn't even know Meghan had the same type of flowers as Kate . Kate got complimented & praised, but when Meghan had the flowers it gave Charlotte allergies allegedly. They make it seem like everything Meghan does is wrong yet everything Kate does is perfect  :bored: . |

Racial hate and discrimination is against the law in the UK, all we can do as individuals is to be responsible for our own behaviour, we cannot be responsible for how others behave.
I am in no doubt that some people will have a racial bias against Meghan, but, what I really do not understand, is why the UK is being singled out as targeting her when she was born and raised in a country with far greater racial issues than the UK. From what I can gather, their major gripe is with the British press, not with the people, so why do the British people need to educate themselves? They are taking the British press to court for specific actions, none of which are related to racism. It is within their power to take legal action against the British press for racism if there is justifiable reason to do so, so why haven't they done so? They are not lacking the resources to follow it through. |
...poor Meghan could never really win for losing...coming over here, taking our prince, how very dare she...going over there, taking our prince, how very dare she...

...a really good example I think is Anne Widdecombe...obviously she said in Celebrity BB that she didn’t trust Meghan, she thought that she was trouble...(..her reasoning was very vague...and that’s a big and definite statement to make without sure and sound reasoning..)...anyways, in an interview after BB, she said that Harry was far enough removed from the throne to make ‘modifications’ to his role if needed, which is essentially what’s happening...but the only words of Anne Widdecombe that I personally have seen any focus on are...’Meghan is trouble, I don’t trust her..’...and now a ‘prophecy come true..’..?...no a mindset/judgement that obviously become impossible for them both, so a modification was needed and made...but there was a reason for that, that needs much thought, imo...why did that ‘modification’ need to be made...that’s surely the foundation that we should all be focusing on more than anything else...

Those that are Royal Institution traditionalists like Anne is, always find fault when someone that doesnt fit the norm comes in. The same comments were made about Fergie. People even said Harry would be trouble .... and lets be honest, they weren't wrong.
Anne has some extremely unpalatable views, I completely understand that, but saying someone would be trouble really can't be considered to be racial bias, because the same woman makes similar comments about anyone. Remember she was the one that said the Tory PM hopeful at the time had something about the night about him .... That's who she is. |
...I think that you miss the point, bots...the point is how the media and some of the public will focus on what their own mindset is...it’s not about what ‘one woman said’...the ‘outrage’ often comes from the thought or suggestion of racism/prejudice...rather than the racism/prejudice itself, which should surely be the first focus...the way it’s focused on is sadly so often with dismissal...

...racial undertones are attributed though .....which was acknowledged by the Palace as well with their original statement..(...I’m not sure if that was around the time, just after Rachel Johnson made her ‘exotic DNA’ comment...)...that comment most definitely had racial undertones..when has a comment like that ever been made of any other Royal lady..?...that was very specific to Meghan and her heritage...and that was in the very early days...as the lady in the interview said...(..sorry I don’t recall her name...)...’racism is at the heart’...is the thing that should be focused on in 2020, rather than dismissed in the way it often is...I think it was Dezzy that said, there is often more media/social media and (some) public etc outrage at suggestions of prejudice, than there is at the prejudice itself..hence it being dismissed as of lesser significance, when it really isn’t at all and shouldn’t be...it’s the foremost thing, surely...
