Also I’m not gay and like yes it’s a shame for his wife but like why is this being made more about her than him? He took a massively brave decision first of all to admit it to himself, then to actually tell her and even to the public. The thing is that we don’t know exactly when all of this happened, but from what we do know I would say that it sounds like his wife is an amazing person and she’s very understanding about it all. It’s so so so important to realise that Phillip most likely didn’t ever try to hurt her, lead her on or do something wrong... he just acted on his feelings. It’s sad that more people are caught up in her feelings than his

But obviously people are going to think about his family, this isn't the same as a single man with no baggage suddenly coming out  .

Oh you’ve seen an image. My mistake, I thought you didn’t have all the facts available to you at your disposal, how could I be so ****ing stupid?

The statement that phil made was being posted online as an image.

Theres really no need at all to be so rude when putting your opinion across.

Good luck to him and his family going forward.
A lot of love in that family, hopefully they can all go on to live happy lives.
There is much more to marriage than sex, love and friendship must obviously play a big part in their relationship.

...it sounded as though she’s known for a few years and helped to support him this decision he’s made right now to make his sexuality public...the dynamics of their relationship over their marriage are something that are obviously personal to them...but they do seem to have enormous love for each other and their daughters...and also including both of their extended families too...

bots 07-02-2020 02:04 PM

let's be honest, the reality of the situation for the family will play out over the next 6-12 months. Once things are out in the open, the dynamic is changed entirely and this is basically day 1.

He also lied about his perfect marriage so i think he is used to painting perfect pictures of his life

Crimson Dynamo 07-02-2020 02:09 PM

he got married the same year as i did

:omgno:

Ammi 07-02-2020 02:12 PM

...I’m not sure that he specifically and intentionally ‘painted a perfect life’ as such or if that’s more the assumption...or that the assumption would incorporate every aspect of their relationship...I would say that they appear to have great love in their partnership and in their family and that to me would indicate a truthful ‘painting’...

Tbf he did always put it across that he was in a perfect happy marriage

Crimson Dynamo 07-02-2020 02:16 PM

they publically celebrated their 25 wedding anniv - would that not have been time enough to come clean?

Ammi 07-02-2020 02:17 PM

...of course...I think the assumption has been that he and his wife have a deep and loving relationship and that they’re a very close family...and his interview would indicate that is indeed what they all feel...

...that’s exactly how he may have felt though...his sexuality may be something that he’s only realised later and life...and he may have shared everything he’s been feeling with his wife for the most part of it...that would still to me Mean a good marriage...(...nothing is ‘perfect’..)...
