I read they were making Avatar 2/3/4 at the same time with a view to release them one at a time over three Decembers

They’re being released on alternate years with the new star wars

ANOTHER Star Wars???

Oliver_W 18-06-2020 06:51 PM

saaaaake, just let Star Wars die! Well, keep making Mandalorian and the Kenobi series, but the movies are crap.

Marsh. 18-06-2020 06:52 PM

Wait, there's 4 Avatar sequels?

Marsh. 18-06-2020 06:54 PM

I don't like them discussing release schedules that far in advance it gives me the hebejebes to be discussing the late 2020's like they're here. :worry:

Oliver_W 18-06-2020 06:57 PM

I'd be interested to see what they could do with Avatar. The "world" it set up is fairly cool, maybe it could be an Anthology series about the world, with different stories and characters for each?

Marsh. 18-06-2020 07:00 PM

Judging by the cast lists, the sequels are keeping the same main characters for each.

Another 3 - it’s a new trilogy/unrelated to the sky walker lot

I think I remember reading somewhere each sequel is set in a different part of Pandora but with the same cast, the second one is predominantly underwater

Yikes.

That poor cast spending decades making these movies. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

Hm, that could work. Ender's Game has little to do with the three books that follow it, maybe Avatar will be the same.

Mess, it sounds like they were in post-production for Halloween Kills before the virus hit. It was supposed to be out in 3 months.

Tony Montana 08-07-2020 10:52 PM

**** sake I was so looking forward to HK.

Smithy 10-07-2020 08:28 PM

FINALLY updated the OP and I’ll just say what we’re all thinking - why are they making 2 more mission impossible films

Smithy 10-07-2020 08:32 PM

Also why are they making a Tom & Jerry film

LukeB 10-07-2020 08:34 PM

Black Widow will be out October 28, 2020 in the UK and November 6 everywhere else.

Smithy 10-07-2020 08:36 PM

Yeah the list was from a US site, but if you think I’m redoing it all with UK dates you can think again :joker:

James 10-07-2020 08:36 PM

Was listening to a podcast and they were saying the respective studios are going to consider putting Black Widow and Wonder Woman 1984 on at-home video on demand if the cinemas are closed too long.

They are worried about them messing up their schedules for future films if the keep delaying them.

I don’t get why more Studios aren’t doing this tbh, that Trolls film broke records doing it.

James 13-07-2020 09:51 AM

They'd probably charge £14-16 to watch each of those films at home.

I don't think I'd bother at that price.

Smithy 13-07-2020 09:52 AM

That’s pretty much the price of a cinema ticket though isn’t it? And if you’re watching with another person you’re already saving money especially because you don’t have to pay through the nose for food and that
