Sietse Bakker: on eurovision 2021, this edition has only become better compared to last years, we will not let this fall from our hands

Eurovision Song Contest offers 24 singing and dance students a internship

The Eurovision Song Contest offers 14 dance and 10 singing students from the Rotterdam-based Codarts and Albeda Collega a internship. A unique opportunity, especially at a time when the current corona measures for cultural students make it difficult to find an internship.

The internship itself is also unique: the students are used as stand-in and prepare the various acts of the 41 countries in detail. With these stand-ins, all aspects of the act can be optimally prepared, even before the delegations start their rehearsals in Rotterdam Ahoy.

Franklin Ignacio – DDA | Internship agency Albeda Danscollege: "The fact that the Albeda Dance College in Rotterdam has been delivering successful graduates for years is now clear. For example, the ESF 2021 dance crew consists of 5 alumni and 3 fourth year students have been added. This internship opportunity is certainly a bright spot for our MBO students, many of whom have lost internships due to the current situation. Now they get a unique opportunity to put what they have learned into practice in a huge production in recent years!"

Eurovision councillor Said Kasmi: "I think it's great that the organization of the Eurovision Song Contest offers this unique and undoubtedly unforgettable internship to students of Albeda and Codarts. I hope this example inspires companies and encourages action. Because more than 4000 MBO students are still looking for an internship in the Rhinemond region. Today's students are the employees of the future!"

The 24 students for these internships have now been selected. The stand-in rehearsals will take place from April.

tomorrow all of portuguese hopeful entries will be released (and who the singers are)

Nicky91 20-01-2021 07:24 AM

hope not many countries will go for pre-recorded backing vocals, those who use that i will not support

only a experiment for this year, but hopefully never again afterwards, hope this idea will be one big flop in eyes of public

Nicky91 21-01-2021 07:20 AM

Portugal's national final songs again loads of variety and quality

I'm sorry but this needs to be cancelled now.

Its not fair for even more people to be chosen as their country's representative, only for the show to be inevitably cancelled.

I really don't trust that the organisation has confidence in these supposed plans that they are saying will make the show work in 2021.
They will chicken out and cancel the show last minute.

Its unfair for more people to be chosen and their songs effectively voided from future competitions.

Black Dagger 21-01-2021 02:39 PM

Theyre not cancelling

I dont trust them.

There is more reason to cancel it this year than there was last year given how much we now know about this dangerous virus.

they are not cancelling, they already said that

i think it might be a scenario B with a bit of scenario C (only for those countries whom are unable to come to Ahoy)

and they also need to submit a pre-recorded performance before March, just in case so they have at least a last resort to fall back to

no real restrictions in what venue the countries can use for this, so any country can use their best acoustic wise venue for that, or with whatever staging they want to record it for

so UK entry can use O2 Arena if he/she wants or if more basic, abbey road studios

Belarus protesters want their broadcaster removed from EBU, and eurovision song contest 2021

:idc: :idc:

enough of their bullcrap protest now, don't bring your politics onto eurovision

These plans were formulated before the horrors of Winter 20/21.

EBU need to cancel now before they cause any more pain.

No, or else what do you want to do about it

Nicky91 22-01-2021 07:31 AM

dutch government has said large events can possibly go ahead again after 1st of July, 300 million budget though they have put together for all festivals

so i am thinking Scenario C it is then, with artists all performances pre-recorded and from their own countries, and just hosts in Ahoy

Legrand 22-01-2021 08:42 AM

Albania's entry is pretty good, but it's not that different from anything they've previously done.

improvement from last year, how they kept it in albanian

compared to that deludanoid Arilena who thought she could be more internationally famous with her english revamp (Shaj albanian version was better)

Finland all entries released now, my fave is that music legend Danny, ok it might seem he's ''talking'' but that is his style, the instrumentals definitely fit the mood of his song, which is about his whole career, and the moment when he's gone

Ilta another great finnish ballad, i mean they are definitely serving quality in their own language over there this year's UMK :clap1:

Nicky91 23-01-2021 07:33 AM

https://eurovisionfun.com/en/2021/01...-any-audience/

decisions on which scenario will be delayed until mid-april, they have worked out all options, every country needs to submit a performance video on a deadline set by EBU in case they need to fall back on last resort scenario's C & D

but they won't rule out a form of audience yet either, and of course they are still hoping for at least option B, with all artists live from Ahoy

you following MGP more i think

Raylee delivering some Bonnie Tyler/Dua Lipa realness and also that shower moment is iconic

yes she makes things interesting again over there

KeiiNo, Tix, Raylee, and i don't rule out Rein Alexander (since he got Morland in his composer team, that combo of Rein's amazing live vocal and Morland's genius songwriting talent might be interesting)
