I like Maise as well.
Her and HRVY are killing it.

Vanessa 25-10-2020 09:02 AM

Week three is movie week.
It's going to be awesome! :cheer2:

Nicky91 25-10-2020 09:10 AM

producers should give HRVY some backstreet boys/westlife/one direction track, just to force that ''stereotypical boyband'' look onto him :fan:

yeah you're right Amy, no need to react it out against Maisie, she danced alright, for a samba week 1 (and also loads of pressure that being the week 1 dance what made Kelvin a winner last year)

6.0 or 7.0 is my sort of highest score i'd give for week 1, more because it is decent but it is also enough motivation for people to improve upon

LukeB 25-10-2020 10:17 AM

I do think Hrvy was overmarked tbh no way that should have been given a 9, I have seen better jives than that

Maisie hmm unfair to have a CiN winner on the line up, but she won't win anyway so

Not really... She only did one dance for a short time doesn't make her a pro. She still has to learn other dances and do a longer performances.

Agreed and its no different to someone who has previous dancing experience

as long the HRVY fanclub does not put too much faith in Janette's choreo skills (or must i say lackings at choreo skills especially in the ballroom)

and i do not like her whole commando approach to teaching her celebs choreographies

HRVY would've been better off with someone more relaxed (i mean Dianne even if it would've been similar to Joe, or a Karen whom i kinda liked last year with Chris which was surprising since she can be rather annoying)

Nicky91 25-10-2020 11:17 AM

also i am just gonna have loads in my sig, i am no longer gonna obsess over just one contestant, i am now more wanting to be careful and prevent tears in case of a shock exit

also the week 1 ''9'' is not exactly a good omen for Hrvy either, since only other was Daisy Lowe, who never lived up to those expectations afterwards just saying, he should basically ignore this weeks scores and keep working hard

Jamie & Karen 3.0, bit too frantic for my liking

Caroline & Johannes 7.0 very graceful, elegant, attention for detail, nice storytelling already too

Max & Dianne 6.0 okayish tango for week 1 standards i've seen worse, way worse in past series and i trust Dianne to work on dance techniques with Max in next weeks to come

Clara & Aljaz 6.0 it was nice, sassy performance, legs could've gone little straighter maybe

Jacqui & Anton 5.0 not a complete disaster, and respect for her efforts at handling the hat, cane props

JJ & Amy 5.0 it was cute, underwhelming but cute, also nice we saw our people's strictly champ Cassidy Little again

Maisie & Gorka 7.0 very nice samba bounce action, for week 1 standards

Jason & Luba 7.0 cute, full of joy, maybe technically not perfect but very enjoyable routine

Ranvir & Giovanni 7.0 positively surprised, i expected a disaster but this was good

Nicola & Katya 7.0 very fast, good movement what you expect from boxers to be good at quickstep

Bill & Oti 6.0 over the top performing, but decent amounts of cha cha content

HRVY & Janette 10.0 Perfection, just crown him the winner already, but first ditch stupid hag janette

my comments/thoughts in bold

I personally thought he did quite well imo, him and in fairness Maisie were ahead of the others in round 1 I feel.

in terms of whom of the two had the better quality content, Maisie since samba is more difficult than jive

but also nice to see we do not really have a duffer this series

also lovely for the NHS workers that they were able to watch some dancing, as part of a small audience :clap1:

Morgan. 25-10-2020 11:50 AM

I won’t lie, I was a little bored by HRVY’s Jive :worry: The dancing was of a good standard and he did well for Week 1 but I just wasn’t excited by it.

Vanessa 25-10-2020 11:55 AM

There are a lot of ringers this year, to be fair

Oh I agree that what Maisie did in week 1 was harder, I just personally enjoyed HRVY's performance more.

Vanessa 25-10-2020 12:04 PM

Some twats on ds said that Hrvy and Masie are unlikable.
FFS, give them a chance, they've only done one dance :fist:

yes protect Maisie (more for Gorka the corka, it's good he has a celeb again)

and rather Gorka than AJ, i mean now she has a decent samba, unlike with AJ she would've had a flop samba :hehe:
