But what he said in 1995
is worthless to his prime minister level.

No it isn't, it sets out his worldview. Has anyone ever said that Mein Kampf isn't relevant to when Hitler became Fuhrer?

No that was like a Bible to Hitler.
Trust you to Drag the Hitler
into this thread.

The Prime Minister
is older now
nothing like the Cheeky chappy of 1995.

Today he made sure
workers got more help.

You should read the tibb on ice dedication week. I dedicated my song to you with a poem.

Would the kids be going into school to eat them? If not how would it work?

That's still his likely real thinking.
In my view, Johnson is not a man with any decency whatsoever.
Nor respect.

So non-privileged families who probably struggle all year round should spend even more of their money?

Why shouldn't they get all year round help to feed their kids?

arista I'm confused.

If you think the CON MPs now were right to vote against this.
May I ask you, (of course ignore my question if you wish, I've no right to ask it), why did you say the above after the vote?.

You're usually consistent yet now seem to agree with the government.
So I'm confused by your stance now.

I love how a 62 inch TV seemingly pays for daily school meals for a full year.

To be faaiiirrrrrr school dinners are only £2 a day so like < £500/year which would be less than a telleh that big.

It is, of course, not really the point (and most with school age kids have more than one).

However do they buy those TVs.
I for instance changed my TV and GAVE, not bragging here, gave my other one to a family I knew were struggling.

I'd guess those who condemn people for having modern TVs because they're supposed to be poor.
Don't think as to how they got said TV.

Assuming they were just ALL splashing out with any benefits or from their very low wages on only luxuries.

Never thinking they may be paying weekly either over long periods for them.
It would seem to some, the poor should sit with nothing in their lives.
If they're begrudged a TV.

If they're not begrudging things to the poorest, why mention those things at all.
I don't call TV a luxury anyway, I consider it an essential for families or people living alone.

That's what I don't understand.

I don’t see how this can’t put things into perspective..

100% Joey.

It's spouted by out of touch people, or people who don't have the skills to actually critically think about what they're saying.

They'll laugh in your face, do you really think morrybobs has enough vans to deliver millions of school meals as well as their regular orders?

Tom4784 22-10-2020 08:33 PM

The only thing that's truly been established from people trying to defend the tories is that this is indefensible, but this whole debacle has made it crystal clear that tories and their supporters lack empathy and make up for it in vindictiveness. 'Grr, look at those people who DARE be worse off than me! We should make their lives harder! Not easier!'

Disgusting.

What is the full story?... I'm all ears.

I was reporting the numbers as they came on their screen
on Parliament TV.

No confusion.

There are a number of bars, restaurants and cafes near me that are offering free kids meals next week during half term. They have just been landed in Tier 3 but are still willing to take the hit to ensure our kids get fed. Most are offering it with an adult paid meal but there are some who have said that no purchase is necessary, just let them know and they will provide a meal. So nice that human kindness does exist outside of the Government.

...I was just thinking about restaurant etc businesses who aren’t able to open and children’s meals and the possible marrying together, so that’s lovely.....human kindness from those who are struggling so much themselves financially with their business losses...sadly our government chose to pass their children’s responsibility onto others less fortunate ...sign of the times as they say...

Indeed you did.
However my confusion is from you now seeming to support the government voting it down.

With your word of it sadly being defeated.

I was sad it was defeated too..
However I'm not now advocating the government was right to do so.

Fair enough anyway arista.
