Also fun fact for you Alf since you had Pele at number 1, Football translated to Irish is Peile (pronounced similar to the player)
|
Did you consider Michael Laudrup? He was up there in the 80s with Platini and Maradona.

Brian Laudrup is in my top-three favourite Rangers players, by the way, along with Gascoigne and Richard Gough.

What about the goal machine McCoist? or maybe the greatest Scottish keeper ever, Goram? Stuart McCall was also a very good Rangers player. |

Goram and Mccoist would be close to top-three favourite. McCall was good too. |
Do you want a new Alf countdown on this?

I would come up with different placings in this now. Messi now has a World Cup winners medal and a South American championship winners medal since I did this. He would therefore have to be higher. I also think I did Maradona a disservice only having him at number 3. He was much better than that. How did I put him behind Cristiano Ronaldo? I must have still been on the pot at that time.

His stock has probably gone up with his death. He'll be challenging the top five now. |

Crazy that only three players in history have won the World Cup as a player AND a manager If more crazy is than two of them have died in the last few DAYS !! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
