Who is really interested in them ramming their opinions/preachings and sob story down our throats?....Many people I believe are intrigued by the blatant self appreciation and ignorance.

Constantly? From what I’ve seen (and feel free to correct me), since they left their royal duties, there’s been about 3 minutes of podcast audio, and now this interview, so about 93 minutes of content in over a year?

I would like to hear her side of the story actually, the bullying media has found a way to twist and manipulate the public into believing their narrative of Meghan, and it’s perfectly clear why they’ve been so keen on doing so, but they won’t be held to account, because keyboard warriors are too busy attacking her for her family life.

Yeah the press will always be all over celebs, comes with the territory. But I still cannot really fault them for trying to have a bit of privacy..even moreso when you think that the press basically killed Harrys mother.

That said, I won't watch this I don't think. I cannot bloody stand Oprah..which might potentially be one of the most offensive posts on this site to some!

Im not a big Oprah fan especially with the whole MJ mess and her sleazy friendship with Weinstein and the gross Wade & Jim mockery :bored: .

But i don't have a problem with Meghan and Harry doing an interview to get their side of the story across.

I do feel it’s constant...that’s my opinion and the way I feel. I will look forward to what they have to say. I have just defended my opinion on here because I don’t like what I have seen so far...but that’s just my opinion.
Maybe the interview may change my opinion on them...let’s wait and see....but I doubt it.

Meghan has asked Oprah to have some paper and colouring pencils on set for Harry so he doesn’t get bored while she does the interview

Later on Harry the donkey can come on for a little bit and nod when prompted.

...I don’t think that it’s an either or thing with publicity and never has been for them and that’s kind of confining into a box and saying...you can’t step out of that box because you’re trying to minimise tabloid media negativity and the relentless extremity of it and the impact of it on your mental/emotional welfare....as others have said, that would be impossible for them anyway but it also would be them allowing themselves to continue to be controlled in their actions and more or less being bullied into hiding away ..I can’t think of many huge profile celebrities etc, who have shown and adopted a ‘hermit’ existence, I can think of a few but not many and incomes have to be made as well....but more that they’re seeking more control over their lives and decisions that being a working Royal doesn’t always give and living where they feel their horrendous tabloid bombardment less...and the reasons for stepping down and living overseas is fitting more with that...they’ve always said that they would be working toward being financially independent so that’s what they’re balancing as well, I feel...

Okay, here goes….Meghan and Harry's working year. :hee:
There have been many zoom lectures from the sofa in their mansion, preaching about subjects ranging from our carbon footprints, (while flying in private planes and driving gas guzzling suvs), to black lives matter; to trying to influence how people ought to vote in the presidential election; to how they are striving to save us from wicked social media. Jumping on bandwagons to benefit publicity wise from whatever the latest ‘thing’ is and not actually DOING anything.
They have zoom gatecrashed several meetings about various subjects which they hadn’t been invited to join with last minute ‘surprise visits, throwing organizers and participants off guard.

Meghan was guest editor for a copy of Vogue magazine which she got by hustling the editor, not by invitation.
They did a 10 minute ‘charity’ call in a food kitchen with a photographer on hand so they could post their wonderful effort on their website. They visited a fallen soldiers cemetery to lay a wreath because the Queen didn’t allow a wreath to be placed on the cenotaph in Harry’s honour, as he asked, because only those in the royal family who actually currently represent one of the forces do that.. On their visit, they brought along a fashion photographer to capture Meghan in her lovely new mega buck coat and stiletto’s tramping all over the graves. Again, they made sure it was posted on their website.

They gave the go - ahead to their friend Omid Scobie to invade their own privacy by writing their biography which was full of had - to - know intimate details including that Meghan peed in the woods.
Then we had the news of the Netflix and Spotify deals which they got via their Royal titles which should be used to serve their country, not themselves - and definitely not on merit.
They did a very long cringeworthy podcast featuring roped in celebs and made sure it got a good ranking by having their very private son Archie speaking on it for good measure.

Harry sued about something or other and won and was awarded £2,000, but had to pay £30,000 in costs. Meghan sued in a privacy case and won but which isn’t quite completed yet.
They are doing an interview with the awful Oprah Winfrey in which they will no doubt mention how their privacy is invaded while talking about their longed for private lives and potentially compromising the privacy of the royal family while they are at it.
So for most of the last year they have sat on their holes hustling for mega dollar deals, being self appointed life coach guru’s preaching to the peasants about how we should do as they say, not as they do.
They are often deliberately controversial, but the press/media/public are supposed to say only nice things about them and leave them alone.
Not gonna happen.
They have aggressive American PA’s who they pay through the nose for. That some can’t see Meghan's (in particular) narcissistic craving for attention and publicity is astounding.

People have used Meghan's miscarriage to slate her so nothing would surprise me now.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if only these people focused just half of this hatred on Prince Andrew, an actual peadophile, rather than rallying against a woman for existing.

Serious question, what could they do that would make you happy?

As an example, you criticise her for hustling for work. Isn't that what everyone is supposed to do, especially when she is from an acting background that is all about the hustle.

Same with other deals they have. They were criticised for living off the royal name and pound, but they're now being for criticised for funding themselves.

Public figures have PA's

How many that aren't interested in the royal family (like me) do you think tuned in to hear Archie talking (another of their crimes)?

Harry using legal options available to him is a problem when he's using his own money?

What is controversial about anything they've done, other than others assigning that to them?

Maybe lighten up, it’s a comment about the Royals which is relevant to the thread, Liz on diversion if you will

Nothing is funny or great seeing someone make a unnecessary comment about someone who has been taken into hospital and could very well die. As much as it does prove our point with the Meghan hate it's still awful and no need tbh

Philip going to hospital has nothing to do with this interview

Why wouldn't it? It has been reported that he has been apoplectic with rage on several occasions at their behaviour. At the 'leaving'summit last year they had to get him into a car and away before Harry arrived, he was that furious. Now the news they are doing an Oprah interview....maybe he couldn't care less any more, maybe he does, but its not that big of a stretch to think it could have contributed.

You posted 'back on topic' while I was posting, I'll move it to the relevant thread if you want.

But it's still an unnessarry comment to make and it's irrelevant to this oprah interview topic.

First people think of when Philip has been taken into hospital is to make silly comments about Meghan :skull:

As has been said the news of this unnecessary interview and the media attention about what they will say may have caused him great stress and people will wonder.

I am sure the queen is feeling stressed too
