Sounds very totalitarian, is this what you support?

Tbh it sounds like an overreaction from our Government tbh, it's meant to be a more mild variant so it's making me laugh about all of this talk of a lockdown.

We've had worse variants that have had less of a reaction which just makes absolutely no sense to me, but then the illogical paths are the Human race's favourite paths to take so maybe it should make more sense.:joker:

its the rate of infection that is the problem, its doubling every 2-3 days, delta was every 5 days, so its spreads twice as fast, that means there will be an exponential increase and even if its a mild variant, there will still be a massive uptick in hospitalisations. So that's the problem. In a week or 2 there could be thousands more in hospital

I don't like Boris and I find it disgusting that he is meant to be the leader of the UK.

However I think it's interesting how since 2016 the Tory leaders get claimed to be "incompetent" when they are 1. Being selected as a candidate to be the leader by the party itself. And 2. The public endorsing these people by electing them as PM. And I find it hard to believe that Cameron, May and Boris are all so incompetent because if that's the case then that would make me question the Tories more as they don't understand who would be a good leader within their own party, which sounds crazy to me.

I feel like whoever does replace Boris will also look like an idiot because whoever is the real issue within that party is not being removed.

To change the topic a little bit, this Pandemic time and time again keeps advertising the fact that we need to fund the NHS more.

Because if we're being honest if it was properly funded there wouldn't even be that much of a scare about the workers being overwhelmed by how many patients that they could potentially be dealing with.

Vanessa 12-12-2021 07:29 PM

I think everyone should get that booster. Then we will be protected.

Some of us remember the time when we just needed the 2 vaccines to be protected. It now turns out that was a big fat lie.

Beastie 12-12-2021 07:44 PM

I'm having no booster. 2 was enough.

that's nonsense Alf, a booster was always on the table, right from the time the first vaccines were being given

Zizu 12-12-2021 07:46 PM

For those who have had no vaccine jabs at all I wonder what % of protection they will be afforded after just one , their first jab ??

Tbh we won't see any real improvements until we get pills out that can treat Covid victims, have stronger Vaccines out on the market rather than the rush job of things like J & J and AstraZeneca. And if a Lockdown is gonna be enforced it needs to be done with the intention of weakening this disease by making the Lockdown last more than a couple of weeks.

Exactly.

In all of this chaos our pathetic Government still refuses to fund the NHS properly.

The vaccine wasn't gonna be available for 3 years. It was only due to Trumps warp speed that that narrative had to be changed. Boosters didn't come into the narrative until this year
