Had a few tears in my eyes watching Elton John.

Quite remarkable the strength of his voice and his ability to do a 2-hour show.

Incredible for any man, but he's 76. I tip my hat. Well done, Sir.

[Backlash: Billy Nomates, real name Tor Maries,
has urged the BBC to remove footage
of her set after being hit with a wave
of online 'personal abuse']

What's she whining about, online "abuse" is pretty easy to ignore. Just don't look at it!

[Sophie Ellis Bextor fans have been left outraged
after her Glastonbury performance wasn't
shown by the BBC.
The 44-year-old singer whipped the crowds up
into a frenzy when she performed on
The Pyramid Stage on Sunday,
calling the show a 'career highlight'.
Yet viewers at home were unable to join
in the fun after the BBC neglected
to show her set,
while also failing to upload it on iPlayer. ]

BBC has 4 Channels
they can not fit it all on TV?

Oliver_W 26-06-2023 01:27 PM

I thought all the stages had everything streamed? Even if her set wasn't uploaded separately, surely her fans could play that day's stream and click to her bit?

Sophie being ''Lenny Kuhr'd''

whom also wasn't shown from ''Grote Songfestivalfeest 2022'' tv broadcast end of last year, AVROTROS basically got loads of criticism for that either, to edit out one of our icons

and yes BBC has 4 channels, they could've easily had glastonbury feed on all of them

sohpie is white and middle-aged (like the glasto audience) so its no surprise the BBC did not show her

LaLaLand 26-06-2023 03:33 PM

Elton John was absolutely fantastic, what a way to close out the show! Bravo!

they had to as they have enough clout

that decision was not theirs to make

bots 26-06-2023 04:44 PM

glastonbury is always crap, the bands always under perform. Over the entire weekend there were probably only 2 or 3 acts that put in a good innings. It used to be championed by John Peel, no more needs to be said

Im not a fan of his either, but that video is worth a watch because he's absolutely spot on. A tragic irony.

Nicky91 27-06-2023 04:19 PM

next year Max Martin will takeover on production of Glastonbury, because UK = Sweden

and he'll make glastonbury the best festival in the entire universe

That the Glastonbury organisers say 'no borders' but they have 12 meter high fences and watch towers to protect festival goers and assure their safety :skull: so basically open your borders let everyone in with no checks, but that doesnt apply to a festival where people need to be assured they are safe

To be fair, the "no borders" types live with figurative 12 metre high fences around their lives, they're unlikely to ve negatively affected by mass migration from a culture which runs contrary to our own.
