I will add having had a Spanish partner for six years a massive Real Madrid fan and standing in the stands in Spain

People on here won’t be able to understand what it’s like to be a Spanish football supporter

Apparently 65% to 70% of them may not necessarily appreciate his advances

I don't need to understand what it's like to be a male Spanish football supporter in order to understand that this female Spanish football player didn't want to be kissed by this bloke and was uncomfortable with it. But maybe you know better than her as well?

Maybe none of these weepy lady victims can understand what it's like to be the passioante men who assault them, eh Sheriff. A failing on their part, really.

I believe he just got caught up in the moment

And you double kiss on each cheek when meeting people so again kissing is not seen a strange thing to do.

That痴 all very plausible had he not have a long , long history of this type of thing

But he got "caught up in the moment" and behaved the same with the eyes of the world on him - wups - which gave her the opportunity to say "yeah actually this isn't OK" with a lessened risk of persecution.

If that report is accurate ( link ?) then they may be just teasing her to lighten the situation or lift her spirits with some humour

Indeed, like I said it's the mytho of the perfect victim and how people are supposed to behave. Just because she didn't want it, and was uncomfortable with it, doesn't mean she was traumatised by it. It also doesn't change the facts.

Sadly, for example, there are people out there who are so used to being abused and assaulted that they think nothing of it when it happens. And because they don't seem horrendously upset or shaken by it, the assumption is that "it can't actually have happened because they'd be more upset if it did".

How can any Spanish court look at this, it happened in Australia, outside their jurisdiction and I do not hear or read of the Australian authorities bothering with this?

Fuss about nothing, possibly by a floozey seeking a grubby gold digging payday, whilst their friends eyes light up with pound or dollar signs and like others elsewhere jump up and down and say "Me too, Me too, I want a pay day please, Me too" :bored:

In other news, police are still searching for this dude who was caught on CCTV in Fuengirola about 6 years ago.

Stay vigilant out there, people.

I fail to see what the Spanish government have to do with anything. It happened in Australia out of Spanish Jurisdiction and I don't hear anything about the Australian authorities being bothered.

Luis Rubiales should stand his ground, when he is not being held in the air by a certain female soccer player.

I just hope that this case doesn't make people forget about Mason Greenwood coming back into Football sooner than later.

Football's not more important than sexual assault I agree.

But a lot of communities unite together because of Football, so it definitely has it's importance in society in it's own way imo.

Now that is silly imo because nothing sexual is happening there (I hope) so the people that attacked Beckham for that were being OTT imo.

New footage shows Jenni Hermoso laughing and joking on the team bus about Luis
Rubiales kissing her after Women's World Cup final - before team-mates chant 'kiss' when
the Spanish chief gets on board

  • New footage has showed Jenni Hermoso joking with her Spain team-mates
  • Hermoso is shown to be laughing at memes of her being kissed by Luis Rubiales

https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2023/08...3350499986.jpg

The leaked footage, posted on Twitter account Alvise Perez, appeared
alongside the hard-hitting message: 'Let's begin @Jennihermoso.

1) Why were you showing off with your teammates and posing as you
laughed with the meme of your short kiss with Rubiales?

2) Why are all your team-mates who now say they're scandalised shouting
with you at Rubiales 'Kiss' on the bus after seeing the peck on the lips?

3) Why did you ask Rubiales jokingly for a kiss on the bus, and why did you
laugh when he replied, 'No, you're making me blush?'

'I don't want you to 'say the truth' because Spain today knows it.

'I want you to go to prison.'

I'm not looking for your trust sheriff, nor the trust of anyone who thinks "football fan passion" is an excuse for lacking self control and invading someone's space.

I think it's fairly evident that I don't give a stuff "how I'm seen" - least of all on here :joker:. I just do actually care. I find it worrying that you think men who vocally care about the safety of women must be full of crap :umm2:.

It's OK I get it, you're a man's man. So long as no big blokey feelings are getting hurt, the rest is all fair game. Poor wee souls.

PRISON!   the Daily Mail comments section, ladies and gentlemen.

"I didn't like that kiss and didn't want that man to kiss me."

"BUT YOU LAUGHED ABOUT IT WITH YOUR FRIENDS!! Straight to jail with you!"

:skull: how do these people get through the day full of this sort of over-the-top bile?

To add to that you have a wife and two daughters, it would be weird if you weren't concerned about the safety of girls/women, surely?

Words mean nothing having been out sober and seen women get hassled by drunk dicks I知 the man that steps in

I知 the one that finds a young girl crying late at night on a dark lane having got away from a taxi driver trying it on, i took her home

I知 the one that finds a 14 year old at two in the morning after leaving a house party that people were doing drugs at . I知 the one that waited with her while her mum drove to get her

I知 the one that stopped at the side of the road a girl trying to leave her boyfriend to get a train home he was stopped her , I gave her a lift to the train station

Countless times I致e stepped in to help women being targeted

I have a partner a daughter three sisters

Having strong opinions on here mean **** all in the real world

There are two types of people those that talk and those that do

I know which one I知 proud to be.

It is actually possible to do both Sheriff. Bit odd that you've seen all of these things and done all of these things but would still excuse a bloke imposing himself on a woman for any reason (let alone "football passion").

Know what else is a fun statistic?

Domestic violence and spousal sexual assault both increase dramatically all across central Scotland on Old Firm clash weekends. Yeah I guess I am having a failure in comprehension by not understanding why "being passionate about a ball getting kicked about" prompts some men to beat up and/or sexually assault their wives and partners.

One of the most bizarre and pathetic excuses for loss of control I've ever encountered.

It's nothing new of course, entitled manbabies throwing their toys out of the pram over a lost game of footie is something I've seen my whole life. So I shouldn't be surprised that winning a tournament is, apparently, an excuse for losing control as well.
