Not mad on Angela Scanlon, way to loud and over the top but that was a really good performance.

Yes, was quite impressed with that.

Boring

joeysteele 30-09-2023 07:22 PM

Quite classy from Angela R.

joeysteele 30-09-2023 07:25 PM

That was powerful.

Hi all

Mystic Mock 30-09-2023 10:00 PM

My opinion of the dances.

Bobby & Diane - Charleston - It was definitely an odd Charleston imo, he danced it okay I guess, but I don't think that the song choice helped my personal enjoyment of the dance as it didn't sound like a very Charleston like song in my view.

Annabel & Johannes - Quickstep - Tbh I can't really remember it very well, so I'll just move on.

Jody & Jowita - Paso Doble - Unfortunately I was right in my feeling that the dance didn't suit Jody very well. He was very stiff imo, and he appears to be too mild mannered to pull off the more outgoing nature of the Paso Doble.

Ellie & Vito - The Foxtrot isn't really my thing, but Ellie is showing herself to be a decent dancer tbf.

Nigel & Katya - Viennese Waltz - I personally thought that Nigel did well, obviously not as good as his Paso, but still a solid effort I felt.

Nikita & Gorka - Charleston - In my view Nikita is just not a very good dancer from what she's showed so far. With all due respect but she comes off as very awkward during her performances so far. I feel like there's less excuses for her poor performances as well compared to some of the other contestants in the competition.

Les & Nancy - Samba - A stunning Samba, one that will never be forgotten.:joker:

Adam & Luba - Tango - I liked the dance despite it's flaws, I hope that the Strictly poll is correct and that he scrapes through the night, because imo he showed more potential to get better compared to some of the other contestants.

Amanda & Giovanni - Salsa - Imo a very good Salsa dance from Amanda, I feel like she impressed me the most on the night, I get that some people take issue with her Political views, but just judging her on her dancing tonight I thought that she did very well, and very confident.

Krishnan & Lauren - Foxtrot - I found it to be by the numbers tbh.

Eddie & Karen - Cha Cha Cha - I thought that the dance was reasonably fun.

Zara & Graziano - Quickstep - She's a stunner to look at.:flutter:

But on the dance I'd say that she was better than her first dance, but not really an amazing dancer from what I've seen so far.

Angela S & Carlos - Jive - A very fun performance, and the song choice made me laugh for a Show like Strictly.:joker:

Angela R & Kai - Foxtrot - Tbf she isn't bad for her age.

However I will say that modern Strictly Seasons has a bad habit of taking a contestant that's "not bad" for insert whatever reason, and overscore them to oblivion.

But definitely not bad compared to some of the contestants on the night.

Layton & Nikita - Quickstep - Technically a well done dance.

I thought it was a decent episode, I still think that Bobby is the winner, but I'm interested to see if Strictly can actually surprise me on that prediction, because the Rose & Hamza years were rigged coronation years.

Fair enough.

Going by one of the Strictly polls I saw, I think that you might've made the correct decision to give Adam the vote out of your favourites.

Nicky91 01-10-2023 07:44 AM

my thoughts and scores

Bobby & Dianne: wow wow wow, perfection, one of the best charlestons i've ever seen! 10

Annabel & Jojo: judges were way too harsh (on everyone) this was good, few moments of gapping but they overlooked it back then for Abbey but now they comment on it i enjoyed it 8

Jody & Jowita: YEAH ROCK ON, this was FIRE!!!! perfect attitude from Jody from this dance, and a paso is mainly walking though Craig :idc: 9

Ellie & Vito: A-MA-ZING 10

Nigel & Katya: Shirley bore off you moaning **** this was gorgeous 9

Nikita & Gorka: no swivels, it was far too much all over the place, very lame moves as if ur in a karaoke bar or nightclub, ur in danger me thinks 3

Les & Nancy: :worship: :worship: this was absolutely iconic 11 top class entertainment

Adam & Luba: forgettable, well danced but forgettable 5 although some places reminded me of Mark Foster's attempt at that what was it, rock paso

Amanda & Giovanni: HOT HOT HOT, contenders i'd say 8

Krishnan & Lauren: i enjoyed it, it was fun, there is something very loveable about him, puts a smile on my face 8

Eddie & Karen: it was a nice whatever it was of a latin dance, as a cha cha it was bad though, no straightened leg action whatsoever, no cuban breaks either, but it was a nice latin dance-ish 7

Zara & Graziano: 100% improvements from last week, lovely lift, spin too very fast, very proper quickstep, wow 10

Angela S & Carlos: same as Nikita, way too all over the place, also wrong song choice, sped up kinda ruins it, flatfooted, nah not my cup of tea 3

Angela R & Kai: one of the best ballrooms i've ever seen, sophisticated, classy, divine and oh so beautiful, Yum Yum as Len would've said 9

Layton & Nikita: it just lacks something for me, something what John & Johannes, Nicolas & Vadim did have, that extra bit of magic, not too surprising him scoring well, mr i went to dance school and have loads of west end experience, he won't win thankfully, boring 5

Ellie is a new superstar in the making!!!!!!

same as Zendaya (whom wasn't famous at all when she did DWTS) can see Ellie going same superstardom route tbh

she has potential for something like Marvel or Disney

Vanessa 01-10-2023 09:44 AM

This was Nigel first ballroom. I loved it.
He will definitely get better.
I want a movie week jive.

Vanessa 01-10-2023 09:46 AM

Shirley was so rude to Nigel. There was no need for it. It's only week two! :fist:

Shirley has shown a negative side to her in the last 2 series.
As a head judge too, she shouldn't be standing up and applauding some and not others.
That's not being professional at all.

Felt for Eddie. He doesn't choreograph the dances. Karen does. But I actually liked the dance and I thought Shirley was unfair.

Vanessa 01-10-2023 11:59 AM

You need to encourage the celebs.
No need to be nasty, just tell them what they need to work on.

Vanessa 01-10-2023 12:00 PM

This is why I love Anton. He's always so positive and encouraging. He'll tell you what you need to improve on, but he's never nasty.

Nicky91 02-10-2023 06:33 AM

omg Angela Rippon that iconic classic tune from Sound of Music

Do-Re-Mi

:flutter:

Eddie & Karen to the Men in Black

Vanessa 02-10-2023 12:14 PM

I'd love Nigel to dance jive to Footloose!
Or something from a Bond movie.
So I can see him all dressed up!

Vanessa 02-10-2023 12:15 PM

Why is Adam getting the ridiculous theme? Poor guy!

am looking forward to tomorrow night

btw sundays Barbie group dance we have Dianne playing barbie and Gorka plays ken

am curious what tomorrows opening group dance will be, maybe a medley of films

Nicky91 07-10-2023 08:12 AM

i wouldn't be too sad to see Nikita go, she ain't that good

and tbh out of the hot bombshells, i want Zara to stay much longer, think her puss in boots paso might be one of the positive surprises of the night

that music is so amazing traditional paso vibes

btw the voice actor of the puss in boots is Antonio Banderas :D and the character Zara will play is voiced by Salma Hayek
