When I said my priority, I meant I didn't notice a racist angle, I was interested in the personalities being discussed. I’m fascinated by people’s personalities, famous or otherwise.
It’s the main reason I read here far more than I post. I’m always all agog to read the opinions of each of the posters on here.
So you read too much into that as well, with your wink emoticon.

We're talking about emoticons :conf: How did that become a thing.

My first thought when I saw the article was - Why of all the people on the planet would anyone compare the two of them. I saw nothing in common that I didn't see from someone else. To show how ridiculous, the word salad and playing the chat show circuits thing could be compared to dozens of people like JD Vance, Kari Lake, Great Thunberg for instance. Then I looked at what they do have in common and this is where, according to you my 'immediate focus was on race'. They have nothing more in common than race that cannot be attributed to dozens of people.

Out of curiosity, what do you think they have in common? They don't look alike so please dont go down that line.

Racism and sexism is the only thing Trump and his cultists have on her, she’s an extremely qualified candidate, she was won multiple election, she’s been a public servant for decades, and most importantly, she’s not a rapist or convicted felon

"Kampala is a bad lady like that mean ol' Meghan Markle!!" is one of the funniest pitches I've seen in a while, made only funnier by Tibbrumpers latching onto it so eagerly .

I’ve already said I agree with these similarities:

“The penchant for spouting word salad; the slightly awkward misplaced laughter; the courting of chat show hosts; the celebrity iPhone moments; the loathing of Donald Trump; the unfortunate bullying allegations.
And the rhetoric! Both Meghan and Kamala spout this sort of pseudo-spiritual psychobabble that sounds perfectly progressive but doesn’t always make that much sense.”

I can only respond to THAT article. I don’t know what else I can say, so no point in dragging it on.

From all that I know, no way is Kamala as bad as MEMEMeghan. Couldn't be.
So not really alike in many other ways; I hope not anyway for the USA's sake. :smug:

How does the dreadfulCamilla Tominley put these two mixed race African American women together. I wonder what it is shes focused on.

…I think that’s it though… for me you’ve explained it yourself how they’ve been compared…she’s a dreadful woman…it may be that she’s so limited as to think, oh they’re both mixed heritage parents so they’re a good comparison and it may be that basic, I don’t know…this is the lady who called Virginia Giuffre a prostitute and described her as ‘being in the game’ at 17yrs old when she was sex trafficked as a child…dreadful woman….

Ammi 28-07-2024 05:53 AM

…I don’t know much about Kamala’s politics, I have to say…but visually and in her personality/persona that we see in public appearances etc…?…she’s just refreshingly vibrant…she has a great smile……

Ammi 28-07-2024 06:17 AM

…Charli XCX has said that ‘Kamala is Brat’…that’s a good thing, right…?…/a compliment…?….and she’s also had supportive words from Beyoncé and Chappell Roan…

Yep, it's a good thing  It's a social phenomenon that I just don't understand, but apparently she has a way of describing things, and they now have a meme generator in a specific font for stuff in her style

Imagine if they gave Harry and Meghan the nuclear button :worry:

They're getting behind her. Even the progressives.

The comparison between Harris and Meghan works only if we take very specific aspects of Kamala personality. Lets go thru them.

“The penchant for spouting word salad; the slightly awkward misplaced laughter; the courting of chat show hosts; the celebrity iPhone moments; the loathing of Donald Trump; the unfortunate bullying allegations.

The word salad- Gareth Southgate. WHy not
Courting chat shows - Amy Klobuchar. She loves going on Seth Myers show
The iPhone moments - Taylor Swift
Hatred of Trump - Taylor Swift again.
Bullying accusations - Ellen Degeneres
The rhetoric - Kari Lake but its not progressive.

The point I've been trying to make in this thread. Yes, if we put together a number of very specific and unpleasant traits then VP Harris and Meghan have some things in common but if we stand back look at them as individuals they have nothing in common except the obvious.

There is a hefty meme/TikTok campaign gathering in Kamala-support which will definitely be playing well in rallying 20-somethings.

I hope so. I have issues with VP Harris but I'm scared of a Trump 2nd term

Scared for whom?

The deep state kabal?
The Epstein Island list?
JFK's murderers?
The real people behind 9/11
The child traffickers?
The illegal invaders?

Who exactly are you scared for, because they are the only ones I know are living in fear of a Trump triumph.

I'm scared because while in the White House he's immune to certain prosecutions, out of the white House he's a normal convicted felon. I fear he will make changes to make sure he will never leave the White House until he dies.

My main issue is that no one can stop him and looking at how a convicted felon can be given the GOP nomination its clear no one can stop him or is prepared to stop him from the GOP

bots 28-07-2024 03:12 PM

The majority of Americans are scared of a Trump presidency as shown by all his personal poll ratings. The big question is whether they can be mobilised to vote

Crimson Dynamo 28-07-2024 03:19 PM

JD Vance
@JDVance

Kamala Harris questioned my loyalty to America. I enlisted in the Marines for
this country. I went to Iraq for this country. I built a business for this country.
And my running mate took a bullet for this country. What the hell has Kamala
done to question our loyalty to America?

answer
Spoiler:

she put pronouns in her X bio

Crimson Dynamo 28-07-2024 03:20 PM

Oh and

let 16 million illegal immigrants into the US as Border Czar

She was DA of San Francisco, Attorney General of California, a memeber of the US senate and a VP. Thats more than Vance alone. She's spent her whole adult life working for the country.

If that doesnt work go for the pro-noun culture war. That'll work. Maybe stick it in a spoiler.

There you go LT its so much easier for you when you copy and paste. Keep it up:wink:

Her responsibility was to go and talk to neighbouring countries about how to improve their conditions in-country so that fewer people wanted to go to the USA. She was not responsible for policing the border. Keep up LT and stop repeating false information

Please provide a source, those are not the numbers I get when I look it up.

Guaranteed he hadn’t even heard of a ‘border czar’ until fox and the rest of the cultists started spouting the nonsense out
