I do have an issue with the favouritism and overscoring that he has been getting though.

He's definitely getting preferential treatment and it's really pissing me off.

Tbh I can understand you on that.

Will try and avoid spoilers and watch on TV tomorrow but going off tonight the dance off

Paul and Karen VS Punam and Gorka

Paul sent off

Nicky91 29-09-2024 07:38 AM

alright my thoughts and scores on week 2

Tom & Nadiya: the chemistry between these two is OFF THE CHARTS, solid cha cha as well 8

Punam & Gorka: personality wise this was amazing, dance content wise this was kinda crap 5

Paul & Karen: ICONIC! even more so than last week 8

Wynne & Katya: truly mesmerizing, enchanting and one for the strictly history books, i mean Strauss music AAAAAHHHHH, that solid viennese waltz content, AAAAH, Yeah Get In Mate! 10

JB & Amy: unfortunately i got reminded of Danny John-Jules sort of similar robotic movement, i see what they were trying to go for, but this was a HUGE no for me 4

Sam & Nikita: undermarked i thought, was a very good fun week 2 standards charleston, and that swivel, delicious 9

Chris & Dianne: as promised to you @Kate! i take my metaphorical hat off for him, i was totally blown away and also it seemed like he was leading, well done to Dianne for that! i'm very much impressed and how humble and such a cutie he is  10

Jamie & Michelle: i strongly disagree with Craig and agree with Shirley, in the early weeks you should focus more on getting the fundamentals right, before adding everything else to the performance, and i thought this was one of the better rumba's i've seen on the show technique wise 8

Toyah & Neil: LOL the less said about this, the better :joker: 1

Nick & Luba: i agree with Craig, the potential is there, especially in the ballroom department, such a solid upper half also his lovely smiley face helps selling dances like this also pretty easily for me, 16 hours of training this was great and undermarked slightly i thought, i wonder what could've been if he had a full week of training 7

TeamMoJo: lemme begin positively, this was a gorgeous samba and all that, performance wise though, i thought there was something lacking and idk what, i am nitpicky because i see contender potential here, so yeah not perfect but great and great is still great, right 9

Tasha & Aljaz: lovely oldschool no gimmicky ballroom, whats not to like about this, wow 9

Shayne & Nancy: i was dreading he might turn out to be a disaster, but thankfully it wasn't a disaster, very solid tango with a nice storytelling, was like watching a scene from a movie, that well sold 8

Pete & Jowita: the lifts were the only amazing thing about this unfortunately, there was nothing smooth about this american smooth, very pedestrian, he didn't sell the cowboy theme either that well, i agree with craig more lumberjack than cowboy lol, sorry jowita you know i love you 5

Sarah & Vito: i prefer this one to Ellie's last year, much better build-up in the beginning before the music really kicked in, so much drama, i mean for a comedy actress she should really consider playing roles in drama series/films because she has a talent for that as well, right about the paso, lovely content, lovely showstopper 9

my prediction for the dance off tonight

Pete & Jowita VS Toyah & Neil

and not gonna think about how that one goes down, because could go either way between those two duds

Nicky91 29-09-2024 07:42 AM

now 5 thoughts about the show itself

1. still very much appreciating the fact Michelle finally has a partner  she's so sexy but personality wise also so cute
2. appreciating Wynne's sort of humour, might not be for everyone though
3. loved Tess her knock knock joke before Chris's performance
4. screw TPTB trying to make me like Pete in his VT this week with his doggo's, it worked for a minute but then i saw him try to perform again so lol
5. this year is soooo competitive

Mystic Mock 29-09-2024 07:44 AM

I actually don't mind Pete.

It's unusual as I normally don't like the TOWIE lot, but he has been funny so far imo.

reality stars aren't celebrities though

Tasha also is a model, and our 2nd disabled contestant of this year (amazing how despite not being able to hear the music, being such an amazing dancer, we haven't had that before either on strictly i think)

Oh I agree that Pete isn't really what I class as a Celebrity, but I still don't mind him despite the bizarre casting imo.

Well we have, rose ayling Ellis, however I think Tasha can hear the music thanks to her implant

Nicky91 29-09-2024 03:51 PM

Paul Merson is serving me so far that kind of fun energy exactly what we needed these times of constant negativity and **** in the news

his spatula signature move is super iconique :clap1: and honestly i saw some salsa moves so (for a guy who first thought salsa was more a dipping sauce for crisps)

and also well executed lifts

Nicky91 30-09-2024 07:18 AM

correct result

Tom was the worst in the dance off of the two, his timing was completely off

Nicky91 30-09-2024 07:28 AM

Sam as Lara Croft, omg she is perfect for that!

Jamie & Michelle quickstep to i'm still standing from rocket man, love it

Punam a bhangra couples choice to bend it like beckham :worship: :worship:

and Wynne as Mrs Doubtfire

Nicky91 30-09-2024 07:43 AM

Chris as Daredevil would not be a too bad idea honestly, having him playing a visually impaired superhero

that soundtrack could make a nice tango or paso doble?

Dianne as Elektra would also be refreshing from her usually having the childish themes on movie week

but tbh, i really hope production won't treat Chris as the joke act this week, with some lame child friendly theme

they need to play into his disability the right way

-------
Montell with dreamgirls, boringly predictable but we know sis is gonna slay as beyonce so who cares if it is a boring choice, also a fab theme for Johannes he loves his diva's too so

Is she actually going to dress up like Lara Croft?:amazed:

Or Is this going to be a disappointing prank from you Nicky?:bawling:

For once I think its genuine Mock.

Nicky91 30-09-2024 12:40 PM

they said so on the results show last night?

and Wynne did a stunning Mrs Doubtfire imitation already, that accent :flutter: also i know the song already i think, Dude Looks like a Lady, maybe a Paso Doble? or a Tango, and we do have our female-female performance for the year sorted. thank you lovely lovely BBC

Mrs Doubtfire i've seen like 5 times if not more, i miss robin williams so much :( he was an icon

Me too. I was definitely not a Pete fan but I've warmed to him. And I really like Jowita.

Previous winner Rose Ayling Ellis is profoundly deaf. Tasha can hear the music, she has a cochlea implant. Plus, she studied commercial dance at uni so the public will not allow her to win. The judges will vote her through every week until the public kick her out at the final like they do with trained dancers every year.

Well that's funny peculiar as you regularly bashed Layton last year.

Right. You don't care if someone has an unfair advantage in a competition. Got it.

wasn't because of his dance experience, hun

more because i thought there was not much genuine magic, unlike my precious GOAT same-sex partnership faves Nicolas & Vadim

also where Nicolas is soooooo lovely humble, Layton on the other hand quite arrogant, and Nikita ain't ''King Choreo'' unlike Vadim

Well I don't know what you were watching but I saw stunning performances week upon week with fantastic choreography. He wasn't my choice of winner, I was rooting for Ellie, but was gorgeous to watch.
