So do I!

I need to do Major - Maths, French and Geography.

Maybe we could do Revision things on Tibb, because apparently 'active' revision is good, so we could all test each other or something! lol!

Ruth*Star 12-04-2008 07:51 PM

Yeah, thats a nice idea there.

MarkWaldorf 12-04-2008 07:53 PM

I was going to start revision today, but I forgot. And now I cba.

Ruth*Star 12-04-2008 07:56 PM

I do that, i'm telling my parents i'm revising but i'm really not, i just haven't got the motivation at the moment.

I done a bit of Maths.
About the revision thing, i dont know how we could do it.

Maybe we could do like a Quiz on somestuff, or like teach people the parts we are best at of a subject.

Something diffrent.

Apparently testing others is a good way to revise, so maybe we could each do a mini-mini quiz on something?

Ruth*Star 12-04-2008 07:59 PM

Yeah like we could make up questions on particular subjects.

Lets do this thang!

How shall we work it out?
Shall we make a list of subjects we do, and but our name next to it if we do it, and then put a minus after it if we are bad at it, and a plus if we are good, and nothing if we are ok. That way, we can help each other with mini quizes or something?

So, like this...

English - Magic+
Maths - Magic-
Science - Magic
History - Magic+
Geography - Magic+
French - Magic-
Art - Magic

So maybe add in your name and subjects and + or -.

How else can we sort it out? Is their a simplier way? Or we could just volunteer to do a thing on each subject?

!

My English exam is in about a month's time.. Ahhhh.

My prelims went better than I could ever have expected though (four As and a B!) so I've yet to start getting worried about exams, which I was, this time last year. Ah well.

ProjectWeirdo 13-04-2008 04:09 PM

I have my GCSE's in a few weeks... but before that, I have to do my French oral. Eeeeek! I haven't revised... argh.

I go to a welsh school, so welsh is one of the base subjects everybody has to do. I had my welsh oral on Friday, which went really good. :)

Princess 13-04-2008 04:13 PM

I'm so unbelievably screwed for my Irish oral, you think that having been learning it since I was 4 I would know it but no.

Ooh don't worry too much about the French one, especially if you've already done a Welsh one! Just keep reading them over, I found reading aloud helps, practice with a parent/sibling/friend and so on. It worked for me, I got full marks in mine!

ProjectWeirdo 13-04-2008 04:23 PM

You had full marks??? That's awesome... well done! Well, tell you what, how about you do it for me? Purrty please? hehe!

Yeah, that's what I'll try... but I think it usually works better if I write it down.

And welsh was easy because I'm fluent, hehe.

Princess 15-04-2008 06:29 PM

I'm graduating in exactly 5 weeks. I can't wait but I really can't believe it. Actually this time exactly 5 weeks my entire year will be out at dinner with our teachers! And then 2 weeks and a day after that my Levaing Cert starts-ahhh!

Shaun 15-04-2008 06:32 PM

Yeah, only 5 weeks left of school...then exam leave. Then I don't go back apart from for exams

In a weird way I'll miss school. I don't want to grow up, lol.

Tom 15-04-2008 06:38 PM

What subjects are people taking exams in? I've got:

Sports Studies (A2)
Media Studies (A2)
Psychology (A2)
Theology (As)

Shaun 15-04-2008 06:39 PM

English, German, Politics and General Studies.

Legend 15-04-2008 06:53 PM

I got my timetable posted to me today and I want to cry. I wouldn't mind too much but I've got 3 general studies exams which all last an hour I think ... I've turned up to less than half of my lessons, and the ones I did were a waste of time. I've just no energy to turn up for them and waste 3 hours of my life especially as I'm dropping it after the exam.

Then I've got 2 Psychology and 2 English so it's not all bad.

ProjectWeirdo 15-04-2008 06:56 PM

Can somebody tell me what media studies is like? I'd like to take that in college in September, but I'm not really certain if I want to. At the moment, I'm taking English language & literature (one course), psychology, art and design... and then I'm trying to choose between either geography, media studies or film studies. Can somebody just give me a brief description or something, pretty please?

Legend 15-04-2008 06:59 PM

Film Studies was rubbish IMO, I dropped it after the first couple of weeks. I'd cross that off your list.

ProjectWeirdo 15-04-2008 08:47 PM

Okies, thank you!! :) I'm still gonna wait to see what some other people say, though...

I have my english oral tomorrow... but I'm not nervous. It's just a group discussion, really. Meh....

You're lucky it's only one hour. Most of mine last at least 4 hours. Only Business and Politics last 5 hours.
