The banners are going to be put in heats, where people vote their favourite banners by replying to this thread. All will be explained soon when I start the heats.

The "heats" seem to be taking place a lot later than 1pm lol >_<

Sam just told me on MSN that the heats will start tomorrow now.

I never said the heats started at 1pm.. The entry deadline was 1pm.

I interpreted "then" as a reference to 1pm. Seems to be the only logical use of the word being there.

Just be patient and wait till tomorrow

"Competition closes at 1pm! heats will start then."

Unless my grasp of the english language has suddenly gone down a few levels, then im thinking im right.

Anyhow, im not trying to argue, just pointing out that something was said, then denied. If it wasn't denied, id have never said anything, and everyone would be happy.

Yep, it would.
Perhaps in the form of sticking to what you say, holding competitions when you say, accepting responsibility for things you create, notifying people of the competitions rather long delay to begin etc.

That kind of consideration would be nice.
And a too busy social life = Don't hold online competitions you can't find time to run according to the times you said, possibly?

Anyhow, all I can say is ive seen him on the forum several times since the competitions entry deadline supposedly not doing anything what so ever.

I just wish people wouldn't involve themselves in things they can't handle. Im entering competitions, going to the effort of making graphics, making sure to complete them before deadlines...and for what? a waste of my time would be what.

If I took it upon myself to hold competitions for other people, asking them to devote their time to entering, id make sure things were run properly because it was my decision to take it on in the first place and I wouldn't want to be letting people down.

Shame the same can't be said elsewhere.

Ive realised ive gone off on one a little.
Probably no fault of Sam's to be honest, so my apologies.

Ive had a day that's really tested my patience, so since waiting for the competition to start also involves patience, it's a little too much >_< lol.

Anyhow, look forward to the competition starting Sam.
It's my first one on the forum, so im hoping it'll be a good one.

People can be busy and/or forgetful, I'm sure Sam will get round to it. There's not exactly a need to hurry.

I'm sorry guys, I realise the hardwork thats been put in. Ive had a rough time lately, no fault of your own i understand that, but ive also been busy. If the heats were a week or so late I might understand where you are coming from, but its two days later, simply patience is all that is required?

I was struggling to host e-Love affair as it was, but I'm back on track now, I promise i'll start the heats tomorrow.


May I also add, please appreciate the effort it takes to host this, because uploading the banners and hosting it is a lot of work.
