Beverley;; 4/10. I didn't like it. She seemed to struggle with the lower notes, and the higher notes were shouted. However, I liked the emotion.
Same Difference;; 9/10. No gimmicks, pure vocal. Extremely good, mostly in tune, a little bit screechy with the high notes, but loved seeing a more mature side to them. Niki;; 9/10. Spectacular at the A Capella, and I just completely enjoyed the whole performance. Really emotional, and a lot of passion. Rhydian;; 3/10. Boring. I honestly stopped watching after a while. I LOVE West Side Story, but he just... I can't stand him. He belongs in the theatre, not here. Hope;; 2/10. However, Phoebe - 8/10. The girls just ooh'd and aah'd. Just get rid of them. Phoebe's the only girl that deserves to last longer. She's the only one that's shown any amazing talent, and by now, you should expect to see them. I'll be sad to see Phoebe leave, but I can't see them lasting as a group. Hopefully, Phoebe will be offered a solo contract. Leon;; 6/10. Although I wasn't completely keen on it, he was vocally great, and the song was good. I just think it was a lil'... dull. Dannii's screwed up on songs this week. |

Just because I'm too lazy to edit.. lol:
1. Niki. 2. Same Difference. 3. Leon. 4. Beverley. 5. Rhydian. 6. Hope. However, I'd put Phoebe alone, third. |
Ack. Hope did what they shouldn't have done and had another Phoebe-only performance. In desperation, I even voted >_>
I really don't think they should go. I think based on tonight, Beverley, Leon or Hope will be in the bottom two and I really don't want Hope to be in the bottom two again - because they won't survive if they are. |
Hope will only survive the bottom 2 against Same Difference.

1. Niki
2. Same Difference 3. Leon 4. Rhydian 5. Hope 6. Beverley However, if it was based on Phoebe alone, I'd have Hope in 2nd. I just don't think they're going to survive this week, and it really saddens me. :( |
I missed the comments on Leon. But I think I can predict what the judges said, anyway.
|
1) Rhydian. I am glad we had another performance from Rhydian where he simply sang from the heart, rather than resorting to dressing him up unnecessarily. I think he will become a star whatever happens, and I'd be surprised if that didn't happen. He seems to have a really strong fan base, and even if not that - people are really acknowledging his talent, which is fantastic. His best song was 'You Raise Me Up', without a shadow of a doubt, but tonight once again he's proved what he is capable of and more.
2) Niki. I was so pleased to see the Niki I loved right at the beginning back tonight. The entire performance was clearly very emotional for her, and she did it justice. I think because of her nerves she messed up in bits, but none of it was major. Overall, I thought she was brilliant and it reminded me why she has the fanbase she does and is doing so well. I hope she stays for much longer because she has so much to offer. 3) Bev. Beverley has been given somewhat less attention than the others, I feel. Even though she is loud and a diva, it seems, she seems to get overshadowed by other XF acts, as they get more attention/media coverage etc. Despite this, she comes out with excellent peformances week after week - albeit some being stronger than others. Tonight, she did really well, and if she ends up in the Bottom 2 I expect it is because of what I described before; she tends to slip under the radar - not, generally, because people don't like her or think she isn't talented. People just need to pick up the phone and vote for her if they want her to stay. 4) Same Difference. Tonight was certainly their best performance, even though I haven't seen them all over the last few weeks. They tackled some difficult sections really well, so it proved to me why they're in the competition in the first place (I had questioned it before, wondering whether it was purely for the entertainment factor). However, I now realise that they are in fact great singers and have a lot of enthusiasm for what they do. There is a market out there which would be happy to have them, but unfortunately they're not the sort that appeal to everyone (not just grumpy people, but generally not everyone likes that kind of enigma surrounding an act). They still scare me a little, but they seem like genuinely nice people who perhaps are more hyper/over-excited than your average person. 5) Leon. He wasn't fantastic, I'll admit. I've never really been a Leon fan, but I acknowledged the fact that tonight's performance was probably one of his best based on what I have seen. Clearly, he really wants to make it into the top 5 - but unfortunately even if he doesn't I'm not sure what he has to offer that is unique. Although I thought his performance ranked 5th based on tonight, overall I feel he is probably the weakest out of all of the others. There is such a great deal of competition, though, that it must be hard for him to live up to it despite all his effort. I expect his fans will stick by him, but I'm unsure whether he has enough or what it takes to outshine all the other brilliant contestants. 6) Hope. I was disappointed with them tonight. I think they're fantastic, but unfortunately they're resorting to Phoebe doing all the singing and the rest tagging along. Although Simon's point on this was valid, releasing one record out of an album in that manner is one thing - whilst performing to win TXF in front of millions is another one entirely. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be too surprised if they were the ones to go. However, we need a band like Hope in the UK at the moment - someone different to Girls Aloud - and I think Hope could be them. I would like to believe they will be successful either way. Overall, I think everyone truly did their best and did justice to their songs, generally. It is evident that they all want to make it to the next round - of course - but what is problematic is that it seems to be in equal amounts. There is a true element of competition now, and all the acts' fans really need to stick by them now! It's a tough one to call, so it'll be interesting to see what the outcome is. |

I can see both Sharon&Dannii backing SD. Louis obviously won't, but Simon could go either way, and I think he knows that SD are more likely to win for him than Hope. |
Beverley: Brilliant start, then in the middle she wasn't to clear over the backing track, and the end wasn't great. At least she only shouted at the very end, even though she struggled on a lot of notes. 6/10
Same Difference: I'm no SD fan but this was their best performance yet! No gimmicks, just them singing and it was a more challenging song than usual. They were great and one of the best tonight! I've noticed that the brother is a much better singer, but the sister isn't bad and they work together well. 8/10 Niki: Brilliant start doing it A Capella, near the end there were some dodgy notes, but this was her best since week 1. 8/10 Rhydian: It was technically good, but he could've put more power behind his vocals. I've seen this performed by other opera singers and I was expecting better. I've seen non-opera versions that are also much better. It was good, but I was expecting better. 7/10 Hope: Terrible! Phoebe is normally good but OMG the whole thing was dodgy start to finish! And no Simon, one lead singer does not show confidence, it shows a lack of confidence and a lack of faith on all the backing singers. Worst of the night, but gotta admire them for taking the risk. 2/10 Leon: His best performance so far and best of the night IMO, he definitely caught me by surprise. This was a faultless performance and he looked confident too. I really didn't expect him to do so well whatsoever! 9/10 |
1: Rhydian
2: Niki 3: SD 4:Leon 5: Bev 6: Hope However i think its between hope bev and SD for the bottom 3 i think leons safe |

God I can't stand Westlife!

Beverley:I really thought she'd do much better with the song but she shouted it in parts and was off-key and all.I think she could be in real danger tonight.5/10
Same Difference:I've really disliked them every week but tonight it actually was a good performance from them, none of the daft gimmicks thankfully.I think Sean is by far the better singer and really demonstrated that tonight, girl was still weak in parts but overall it worked well.7.5/10 Niki:She started off really well but there was a couple of mistakes towards the end, but it was much improved from how she has been of late.I just don't see her as a pop star, more like someone you would find on a cruise ship.7/10 Rhydian:Best of the night one again for me.I don't like the song but as per usual Rhydian delivered another great vocal performance. After last week's debacle it was great to have him back to just singing. 9/10 Hope: I really don't know what to make of this, it's hardly like you can judge them as a group because only one of them really sung, the rest was just backing.Simon's not doing them any good by picking songs where there's just a lead vocal and nothing else.I felt that Phoebe did a decent job with a difficult song but there were a few moments where she was out of tune but she was very good in parts. 6/10 Leon:It's not the most exciting of songs but I felt his vocals were faultless and he just keeps getting better as the weeks go on and certainly is the dark horse of the competition. With a more interesting song he could be excellent. 8/10 |
grrrr i hate westlife so annoying!
|
I hope Niki Goes!
|
