Because I'm pretty sure straight people aren't the victims of abuse or attack for being straight. Straight people can walk down a street holding hands or even kissing. There are places where that isn't acceptable for gay people, and so there's days where gay people can too do this and be proud of who they are. Straight people are surely proud of who they are anyway.

there is two lesbians at my school and the teachers hate it. they look at them in disgust. so i don't think our school would ever celebrate that.

Thats just shameful.......but i know how they feel.

how do the teachers know they're lesbians?

i think sexuality should be included in sex education & that should be made as a permanent fixture in the ciriculum.that way kids will have a deafault opinion that gay's & lesbains are the same as straight people & a 'celebrations' like this wont be necessary.

because the cuddle in the corrider and snog each other all the time.

if the teachers are looking at them in discust because they're lesbians then those teachers are low lifes but if the teachers are looking at them in discust because they snog eachother in a class room then fair enough,they deserve it.
